Not necessarily the most spectacular but the most satisfying. Mine was when I was a teenager. I had a tingle in the philtrum above my lip that I could tell a zit was brewing in there. Outwardly there was no sign of it - the skin looked perfectly normal. It was the kind of vague unformed early zit pain that, nine times out of ten, if you squeezed it at that point all it would do would inflame the skin and make the eventual spot worse. Anyway on this occasion, despite knowing that, I squeezed the area anyway and instantly this perfect streak of pus leapt out of my skin and splattered across the bathroom mirror. And that was it done. No sign it had ever been there. No irritated skin. No residual soreness. Just a very polite zit that burst cleanly at the first prompting.

Amazing story, @TheOnlyAletheia though I got acronym confusion at the end and wondered why your grandma had a prisoner of war in her kitchen.

I was a little concerned for the Princess of Wales....

There's been a few-

Once my friend showed me her foot and she had a cluster is mosaic warts on the side of the ball of her foot. They were peeling off a bit and she needed help. I donned some gloves and we set to work- it was glorious! The whole cluster peeled off slowly leaving little holes in her foot where the roots popped out. Never seen anything like it since!

My son had a hard round small lump on his knee. Couldn't figure out what it was but it was like a spit with a bit of a head . Popped it and the most perfect little round ball came out. It looked like a small eyeball with no iris/pupil. It never returned!

Final best one was a huge lump that had grown on my earlobe. It was large at the front but there was even more hidden at the back. I took a sterilised lancet and sliced a small hole in it (after applying numbing cream and antibiotic gel). I managed to pop out the cyst completely inside the sac and steristripped the hole closed. It was a thing of beauty!!!

Oooh! Another was when I had chickenpox and had pretty deep pox pustules. I pulled out quite a few as they were fascinating- I ensured they were in places wheee marks wouldn't matter.

One I didn't see for myself, but would have loved to have seen...

A colleague was complaining of a lump and that it was hurting when sitting down, especially when leaning back. They went to see the doctor and later had a hospital appointment. There was a lump near the coccyx (sp?) which turned out to be an ingrowing hair. Apparently when removed it was the size of a golf ball, and they had to have the hole packed every few days.

I had an ingrown hair down below. It was painful to walk. I stood in the bath and pierced it with a needle and loads of pus splatted into the bath.
Runner up was another down below where I sat on the bathroom floor and squeezed after piercing it and the pus travelled about a foot

GabrielOakRose · 18/12/2024 16:34

Did anyone see the episode of Yorkshire Vet where they squeezed a cow's huge boil and enormous amounts of pus dropped onto the ground? Must have been so painful before it was squeezed. I'm not a true sporner as I only like my own so didn't enjoy it

Parky04 · 18/12/2024 17:02

Used a pair of scissors to dig a big wart off of my big toe. It was glorious. No infection, surprisingly. I was 18.

When I was a student nurse I was helping an old man dry himself after a shower. I was drying his back when I noticed he had a big, bumpy black lump on the back of his shoulder. At first I thought it was something sinister (I was very peachy keen) but after a few minutes inspection, concluded it was an ancient blackhead. Then he said the magic words…”Go and squeeze it for me, Hen!”
Reader, it went on forever. It must have been about 30 years old.

Yddraigoldragon · 18/12/2024 20:32

Sharing a photo of mine. I had cellulitis, years ago, the photo is pretty gross and is actually just a part of the infection. If you look, you can see where the edges of the scabs are starting to raise…. Hurt like hell but I had to keep poking at it..
Looking at it now I am surprised I still have a leg left.

That's it. The thing is that I am really squeamish, but could watch these things all day on YouTube. I suppose the reason for that is that I would be getting the "benefit" of any smells!

That leg looks truly terrible. I am glad you got it sorted.

Love these threads but can only read so many posts at a time before I feel a bit queasy!

ill share my best one, years ago I had one big spot (or really I guess a cyst or something) with three closed heads on my pubic mound. I’d tried squeezing, lancing etc, no joy, they stayed closed and nothing came out but they were huge. One day at work I was sat on the loo and absent mindedly scratched an itch which turned out to be on the zit. It wasn’t even a hard scratch but that bad boy must have been ready to go cos I felt a pop and all three heads were leaking. I didn’t even have to squeeze for the first min, just this slow river of pus moving all on its own. Then I squeezed and got loads more out of app of them but I don’t recall squeezing it again so it must have been a one and done but omg never seen that before or since, just thick yellow pus coming out all on its own.

i also have a little lump on my inner thigh just by the crease that occasionally yields a chalky, slightly smelly yellow offering, I guess maybe clogged sweat? Hard to get a proper look due to weight and general lack of flexibility but annoyingly struggle to get a good angle with the mirror.

Not an exciting post but I was pleased. Had a milia appear on crease of eyelid a few months back. Tried to squeeze it the other day ( stupid I know as not a pore). Anyway I just ended up damaging the skin. Next day I noticed it had scabbed over, I couldn't help but touch the scab ( again silly in a delicate area) however to my joy the scab was stuck on the milia and pulled out the wonderful little pearl! I've been popping on the ordinarys hyraluronic acid and the scab has healed and gone! Swear by that stuff!

Flutterbees · 07/01/2025 13:17

DH got a long, fairly thick thorn stuck in his leg when he was in his teens and helping his dad in the garden. The thorn never came but the entry wound healed over and he was left with an elongated oval-shaped lumpy bit to the side of his shin. He told me about it early in our relationship but I never paid much attention until one time when we were watching tv and I was idly rubbing his leg. It just felt different so I had a look and it seemed as if the entry wound area had degraded slightly. I pressed gently at the other end and the thorn just slid out in one fluid movement. Despite it having resided in DH's leg for approx 5 years, it looked the same as it had when it entered his leg. The hole healed up again and you'd never know it had been there.

This is my go-to technique for milia. If you can give it a tiny puncture with a needle, it will scab. When you pick the scab off the next day, it comes out.

You get to wait the whole day knowing it's going to pop out and it's so, so satisfying 😻

My DH had a huge swelling starting from right next to his tweaker and went right down his leg almost to the back his knee, he must have been in awful pain with it but never told me about it until he could bear it no more and asked me to have a look. His leg was so swollen and mottled all colours of the rainbow .I looked it over and saw where the huge head was and I was just going to touch it to see if was ready and safe to squeeze when it burst itself and boy did the gunk flood out of him ! Jeezo it smelled rotten, really bloody awful, it was horrific when I think back but the relief for him was immense.I had to help him drain and clean it for days until it cleared and that was very satisfying indeed.

cbar123 · 08/01/2025 20:26

@DottyDodger not sure I'd manage to wait a day now with that knowledge! Ha ha!🤣

Wow, he's lucky he didn't die of sepsis!

cbar123 · 08/01/2025 21:53

@Parky04 I had a wart on my pinkie that kept returning despite having it scooped out twice at dermatology. Eventually just paired the thing down til it nipped the blood vessels shoved part of a cotton ball drenched in neat apple cider vinegar on it. It stung like F@&k. Kept it in place with micropore for a good few hours. It went black and died. Paired the dead skin away and it's gone (for time being). Pleased though.

This is the key thing - you HAVE to wait till it's dry scabbed - or it doesn't come off! The pain of waiting!! Haha

I had a wart on my knee for years, nicked it shaving one day when I was an teen and it bled, went all black and crusty then healed. One day, no idea now how close in time to the razor cut, I looked down at my leg and realised I no longer had a wart. No idea how long it had been gone, where it fell off, nothing. Was just gone like it had never been there.

I know ! I was furious with him that he didn't tell me before it got into that state, but he knew I'd make him go to the Drs and get it sorted properly & he was just too embarrassed to go, given where it was.I understood but bloody hell, silly man.

My cat had her tail bitten and an abscess developed - anti-biotics sorted it out, it didn't burst but the most amazing, huge, shiny, crusty, lumpy scab formed. Once it had loosened I had the greatest time gradually picking it out of her fur - had to be gradual as she'd only tolerate me messing with her tail for a nanosecond! It had tiny perforations where it had grown around her fur. Truly a thing of beauty.

My cat had a massive abcess at the base of his tail. He wouldn't go in the carrier, but was quite happy to sit on my knee.
We were sat in the vets waiting room when he saw a dog and put his tail up. I pushed it down and the abcess burst. The pus shot everywhere and the vet was amazed to see a totally empty hole.
