I'm in utter agony.. Please help me identify what this is..

Small lump started about a week ago, each day goes by it progresses.. Today its red raw where my thighs have rubbed together the skin has broken down. I've lathered it magnesium sulphate and hot compress... I can see a very tiny head coming up.
My god the agony is unreal.. Also don't feel myself at all. Not feverish or anything. Just feel really terrible.
What is this? Boil? Abscess??

Oh I'm so happy for you. They can be so so painful and miserable. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick the rest of it for you xx

Update... Approach with caution you've been warned.
So.. Today it transpires there was a mountain of caca under all the blood... The sterile dressing has sucked it all out.... Whilst utterly nauseating, it's quite spectacular..

It's a duoderm dressing. The nurse made lots of tiny incisions in the boil and stuck the dressing on. It's really sticky and absorbs all the hideous stuff out of it.. That's a fountain of pus caca.. I'm dreading taking the dressing off 😂

That is really quite incredible. I wonder what causes them?

I'd love a job where I got to lance boils. I imagine the nurses in walk in centres rubbing their thighs together in delight and arguing over who gets to do it.

After 48 hours so hoping tomorrow evening in the bath that it can come off. God when i think of the pain when she put the needle in it yesterday 🤮
