Yep, that was July. A boil went wrong and despite antibs grew until it was drained (twice) by a delightedly horrified medic. Cellulitis etc.

IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN. Same place, inner thigh. Same yelping pain. Has big blood blister head. What can I do? Doc gave more antibs and not interested but it's growing and growing.

Can I burst it myself?

What happened before when you had it dealt with at the hospital - did they pack the wound or anything? It sounds pretty grim and although it has burst I'd still want it looked at - it might need some kind of dressing or cleaning out.

OP, you need to go to A&E, the anti b's don't work after a while. They had dh on them for a year and he slowly got worse.
DO NOT PUT HEAT ON IT no matter how many HCP's or wannabes tell you to.
Please go to A&E, get it drained and look at the HS support group, I'm not saying this is what you have, but it is common in the groin and under arm pits.
