This thread is for the Mumsnetters who attended one of the exclusive MN screenings of Despicable Me 2 with their little minions DCs on Sunday 16th June. We hope you all had a fab time and enjoyed the film!

We really hope you and your DCs enjoyed the preview screening.
Below are a few questions for you to answer but please do add any other comments you may have.
We'd also love it if you could upload some pictures of your day to this thread.

  • Please give a brief, one sentence review of the film
  • Out of 5, how many stars would you give the film? How many would your DC give it? (5 is highest and 1 is lowest)
  • What was your/your DC's favourite part of the film? Who is their favourite character and why?
  • What did your DCs love best about the day?
  • What was your overall experience of the screening?
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Despicable Me 2 to friends and family? Why?

I am excited. Ds 5yrs and Dnephew 7 yrs are having a sleepover
We are going from Northampton to Euston at 9.31am and visiting Chelsea fc, Arsenal, Big ben, London eye, Buckingham Palace eating somewhere and going to the O2 :o
We are going to need that sit down at the cinema :o

I know, but dnephew has never been to London, so has some things he really wants to do. Most of it is not to far to walk except Buck palace, I always get lost going there! :o

Well, watching the first film wasn't exactly a success as they charged about the room causing havoc for most of it! Hopefully they will be better in the cinema . And I'll be driving, so can't even down wine to help me get through it.

For posting pics, I can't see the "browse" button mentioned in the instructions on either my android phone or android tablet. Am I being stupid, or does it not work on these? Have a picture of DD with a giant minion that I took when we went to the cinema in half term, but can't get it on here.

Sat in the print works odeon. Seen the minions, had photo taken. Have balloon minions. Ring pops being eaten waiting for film

Well we've had too much excitement leading to fighting and broken glasses! Uh oh. Small boys have been told to calm it down. Hopefully now we've set up they will settle down. Hope there's no E numbers in the snack!

Just on the way out of Manchester, all of us absolutely loved the film and I was amazed at how well behaved everyone in the cinema was. It transfixed everyone. Oh, and I cried at the end!
