NOW CLOSED Despicable Me 2 MN screenings feedback thread

This thread is for the Mumsnetters who attended one of the exclusive MN screenings of Despicable Me 2 with their little minions DCs on Sunday 16th June. We hope you all had a fab time and enjoyed the film!

We really hope you and your DCs enjoyed the preview screening.
Below are a few questions for you to answer but please do add any other comments you may have.
We'd also love it if you could upload some pictures of your day to this thread.

  • Please give a brief, one sentence review of the film
  • Out of 5, how many stars would you give the film? How many would your DC give it? (5 is highest and 1 is lowest)
  • What was your/your DC's favourite part of the film? Who is their favourite character and why?
  • What did your DCs love best about the day?
  • What was your overall experience of the screening?
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Despicable Me 2 to friends and family? Why?

Everyone who adds their feedback to this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a goodie bag packed full of Despicable Me 2 merchandise.

The tickets were there all along! The little box for the code that automatically came up is a pretty poorly placed red herring. I just tried again, ignored that box and clicked on log-in/edit details again and lo, it was all there Grin

Pretty crap user interface will be my first review to add here Hmm

Phew, I will be getting disowned by my children

So everything is ok?

Hi - ok re the tickets, you need to print out (hard copy) either the email entitled "ticket confirmation" or you can log onto showfilmfirst, then click www.showfilmfirst.com/service/login.php and log in,
then click on login-edit details and you should be able to view tickets and then print from there.
The ticket says admit X

Hello everyone and thanks from MNHQ for all attending!
I was there too (incognito) with my lovely DD aged 10 and JenniferMumsnet.

It was fab seeing all of you there Smile

My feedback

  • Please give a brief, one sentence review of the film
An ace, all round fab family film. Loved the bubbles at the end and the 3d was very cool
  • Out of 5, how many stars would you give the film? How many would your DC give it? (5 is highest and 1 is lowest)

I'd say 5* and my DD would too

  • What was your/your DC's favourite part of the film? Who is their favourite character and why?

We loved the purple minions because they had very crazy hair!

  • What did your DCs love best about the day?

Seeing at film at the o2...it's such an amazing venue (to think they were wondering what to do with it after 2000, who'd have thought!?!)

  • What was your overall experience of the screening?

brilliant...lovely as ever to see MNers in the flesh!

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Despicable Me 2 to friends and family? Why?
