This thread is for the Mumsnetters who attended one of the exclusive MN screenings of Despicable Me 2 with their little minions DCs on Sunday 16th June. We hope you all had a fab time and enjoyed the film!

We really hope you and your DCs enjoyed the preview screening.
Below are a few questions for you to answer but please do add any other comments you may have.
We'd also love it if you could upload some pictures of your day to this thread.

• Please give a brief, one sentence review of the film

• Out of 5, how many stars would you give the film? How many would your DC give it? (5 is highest and 1 is lowest)

• What was your/your DC's favourite part of the film? Who is their favourite character and why?

• What did your DCs love best about the day?

• What was your overall experience of the screening?

• If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Despicable Me 2 to friends and family? Why?

Sooooo excited about this! We're having a tv dinner followed by ice cream this evening whilst we watch Despicable Me and DS keeps asking me if it's time yet, he is beyond excited! I'm not sure how much sleep there will be in the Hex house tonight, it almost feels like Christmas the way DS is acting.

Ok. I am a bit confused here. Is the email not really the Ticket? Do we need to enter the code and get the tickets out?

mumsnet it might be helpful to clarify exactly what the tickets look like. I think going by this thread and the other that most of us just have one aheet of paper with a code on time and date location and number of people to be admitted but others refer to tickets plural

Wolfclub I have the email confirmation and it just says admit 4 with a ticket code. Do we need to enter the code and collect tickets?
I think everyone at MNHQ may be busy with Workfest.

Oh and I posted this on the other thread by mistake, I'll not be telling my MN name while we are there tomorrow, simply because my MN name is not known to anyone in my family so DD/DSDs don't know it.

Hi - ok re the tickets, you need to print out (hard copy) either the email entitled "ticket confirmation" or you can log onto showfilmfirst, then click www.showfilmfirst.com/service/login.php and log in,
then click on login-edit details and you should be able to view tickets and then print from there.
The ticket says admit X

Maybe a silly question but can anyone tell me where in the O2 we are meeting as it looks pretty big and confusing with loads of stuff happening there!

The first Despicable Me film is on ITV1 this evening at 6.40pm. Good timing for tomorrow!

:o my DCs love it - my 3yo sings and dances along to the song at the end which is of course immensely cute. Got the song stuck in my head now though!

I won't put any photos of DSDs on as I don't feel it's my place IYSWIM plus they get camera shy anyway but I am happy to put some of my DD on. She is planning on dressing in yellow tomorrow :o

DS decided to ask me in a really loud voice for fruit shoots today in the supermarket - we never buy them but he's had them occasionally at the cinema or similar.

I'm going to have to surrender my tickets aren't I

hex I'm packing a fruit shoot too as ds also has them in hia kids am box when we go to the cinema

Ha ha my boys have asked if they will be getting fruit shoots as that is what they get at the cinema! I told them we get given drinks and snacks and so they will be happy with whatever they are given. I have bought some snacks today and will sort out some food in the morning as we are going to be out all day...I suspect we may end up with MacDonald at Liverpool st for dinner... But nth.EU are doing g despicable me 2 toys at mcdonalds at the moment so its OK!

I am so excited for tomorrow. I just hope that DS2 (6 weeks) allows me to get some sleep tonight so that I don't nod off in the cinema
