This sponsored discussion is now closed. Thanks to everyone who shared their memories on the thread below.

The way we capture memories has changed a lot over the years and the prevalence of smartphones in our modern world now means that almost everyone has a camera at their fingertips. Whether it was an unexpectedly special moment or a day you knew you would always remember for the right or wrong reasons, Fujifilm would like to hear about your treasured memories as a child, adult, or parent and how you have captured those moments to be able to remember them.

Here’s what Fujifilm has to say: “We all have those special memories that we like to think back on from time to time, whether that be from your own childhood, in your adult life, or as part of parenthood. There are so many key moments throughout life, and there's so many different ways to capture them - whether that be a keepsake, or on video, on a digital, disposable or instant camera, or just snapshots on your smartphone. At Fujifilm, we want to empower you to bring your stories to life, to tell it your way, and add new chapters as it evolves.

Everybody has a unique story to tell about their most treasured memories, and we would love to hear how you've captured yours. We’re also offering Mumsnet users 20% off all photobooks, photo gifts and wall art! Just use the code FUJIMUMS20 at www.myfujifilm.co.uk.”

What is your most treasured memory? Were you able to capture that moment on film or in a photo? How do you display your photos within your home? Perhaps you have a dedicated photo wall for everyone to see or a dusty stack of family albums to look through when you’re feeling nostalgic? Is the camera roll on your phone full to the brim with photos that you haven’t yet had the opportunity to print, but would love to be able to show off?

All who post on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

@HALA

my children growing up are my treasure memories, and I have made photo books to remember milestones
My mom used to do that with me and my brother. She took us pictures every single year until we were 12. The love of a mother is infinite.

@Maria68

One of my treasured memories is when my kids were little on stage at a telent contest while at haven, I took lots of photos of them on different holidays, all in photo albums. I was running out of space so recently I discovered photo books (am not that techy so was a bit weary) but it was realy easy, now I do photo books as Xmas presents. I also have a video with the kids on which I'm trying to get put into dvd.
It is incredibly beautiful to read this. Your kids should be proad and happy of having such a good mother.

I've taken photos during our holidays etc with my Fuji x100 and X-T1 and have our favourites framed as a collection on the dining room wall.

All the pictures I've ever taken of my pets, the dogs, cats, ponies, rabbits - even the goldfish! They're not with us long enough and they deserve their photo memories for all the happy times they've given me over the years.

My most treasured memory is of leaving my son on his first day away from home in a very austere looking university accommodation block. I was trying hard not to cry but at the same time feeling so proud of my little boy who was now a fully-fledged grown-up.
