This sponsored discussion is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Takeaways are perfect for those days when cooking up a big family dinner is the last thing you want to think about. After a particularly long day at work or a busy first week back at school, you may feel that your favourite takeaway is needed more than ever. With this in mind, Deliveroo would like to hear about your dream takeaway.

Here’s what Deliveroo has to say: “At the end of the first week back at school, you may feel like treating your family and having their favourite takeaway delivered. That’s why we’re excited to hear about your favourite takeaways and to give 10 of you £50 Deliveroo credit so you can treat your family to a well deserved meal.

But that's not the only way Deliveroo can help with your back to school meal times! You can Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo every Mon-Weds in September. We’re offering £5 off when you spend £20 on delicious food delivered from local restaurants*. So whilst Eat Out to Help Out may have ended, Deliveroo is continuing to support the restaurant industry and you can too (without leaving your home).”

So, we are asking you: If you could order any takeaway to be delivered, what would it be? If you were to use the Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo scheme to order a takeaway, what would you choose? Are you a creature of habit who peruses menus for at least 10 minutes before inevitably deciding you’ll have the same as last time? Or do you like to try a new restaurant each time? Would a takeaway delivery after the first week back free up more time for you to spend as a family, and if so, how would you spend it?

Whether Mexican fajitas, Thai noodles or a classic Italian pizza is the takeaway of your dreams, share below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where 10 lucky MNers will each win £50 credit to spend on Deliveroo (T&Cs apply).

Thanks and good luck!

We love a chinese in our house. Chicken chow mein, egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and chips. Lovely!

CanWeComeIntoTheOutNow · 10/09/2020 13:12

ooh, whilst any meal I didn't have to cook or wash up after would be lovely, I'd always choose something I can't make myself if possible, so really good Turkish or Greek food that's been grilled beautifully is top notch.

PaintYourSpiritGold · 10/09/2020 15:52

A burger from our favourite place in Leicester - we're having to eat in as we have an 11 week old baby girl 😊

DiWoo · 10/09/2020 16:25

We all like different things in my family, my DD loves Indian, Nandos, pizza, Chinese, cheesy chips and McDonalds, my DH only likes McDonalds or something from the chippy whereas I prefer a chicken shish so getting a takeaway is normally a round of them all!

Nicetableinnit · 10/09/2020 16:30

We usually go for the food we wouldn't make at home for ourselves very often, so Thai or Chinese usually. The kids love it!

Lua · 10/09/2020 18:16

I would love to be able to get good quality sushi delivered. Supermarket ones are awful!

36degrees · 10/09/2020 19:20

Would love to be able to get Nando's delivered as I'm low-carbing and it's ideal for that - at 9 miles away we are too far for Deliveroo so I have to send DH

Anj123 · 10/09/2020 19:52

I would go for Wagamama and always go for udon noodles as I love them. If I was going anywhere else I would peruse the menu for a good 10 mins.

rupert23 · 10/09/2020 20:23

we love a curry so it would be a lovely treat to have an indian take away

scarecrow22 · 10/09/2020 21:04

Trust the manager of a local family-owned Thai restaurant to provide some dishes from what is fresh, with coconut rice (not sure this is a 'thing' in Thailand, but I love it!), finished off with Stem Ginger and Marmalade ice cream from Simply. My oh my, I would so love that now.

Thank you for a happy few minutes reading the ideas above, and then dreaming of my own ;)

misskatamari · 10/09/2020 21:23

I would love to have Wagamamas! Or a really good Chinese, I'm still yet to find one where I live

skuali66 · 10/09/2020 21:52

sushi!

snowsuit · 10/09/2020 22:30

i would get a lovely big burger and fries i think, and maybe a milkshake to go with it. i've gone a bit nuts on restaurant food after being deprived for too long during lockdown, and i have absolutely no guilt about ordering whatever i fancy!

chrismarston82 · 11/09/2020 11:27

I love a chicken Parmo with mushrooms and pepperoni

chris8888 · 11/09/2020 11:42

I`d order an Indian as we all vote this are fav takeaway

rmahoney1 · 11/09/2020 12:19

Can beat a wagamamas!!! Great kids options with mini versions of the traditional favourites! Lots of veggies and great for mum too!!!

SilverOtter · 11/09/2020 16:21

We have the BEST Indian restaurant ever near us, so I'd definitely choose that. Yum yum😋

Mmmmdanone · 11/09/2020 16:50

I'd get in a massive Indian takeaway. Love a good curry.

KANNET · 11/09/2020 17:30

Really good fish and chips. Loads of gravy

SerenityNowwwww · 11/09/2020 20:11

Whoa- gravy on fish & chips? What kind of gravy?

bettertimesarecomingnow · 11/09/2020 21:35

I always have Chinese chicken curry, fried rice and chips and only ever eat half of it.

Backhometothenorth · 11/09/2020 22:29

My husband is a dedicated carnivore but now loves a veggie pizza. To the point where he asks to order a certain garlic and tomato based wonder over a kebab! Amazing!

caravandreamer · 12/09/2020 04:17

I'm the one that says "Awww I should of got that instead" when I see and smell someone else's meal Confused after I've ordered the same meal for the 10th time.

jellybeanpopper · 12/09/2020 10:14

I crave for a East African Indian restaurant to open locally so we can order a KuKu Paka or an Egg Chapatti. If you know, you know!

MrsJamTart · 12/09/2020 11:24

A dirty kebab
Or a Chinese
Or curry
So many yummy things!!
Mmmmm
