This sponsored discussion is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Takeaways are perfect for those days when cooking up a big family dinner is the last thing you want to think about. After a particularly long day at work or a busy first week back at school, you may feel that your favourite takeaway is needed more than ever. With this in mind, Deliveroo would like to hear about your dream takeaway.

Here’s what Deliveroo has to say: “At the end of the first week back at school, you may feel like treating your family and having their favourite takeaway delivered. That’s why we’re excited to hear about your favourite takeaways and to give 10 of you £50 Deliveroo credit so you can treat your family to a well deserved meal.

But that's not the only way Deliveroo can help with your back to school meal times! You can Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo every Mon-Weds in September. We’re offering £5 off when you spend £20 on delicious food delivered from local restaurants*. So whilst Eat Out to Help Out may have ended, Deliveroo is continuing to support the restaurant industry and you can too (without leaving your home).”

So, we are asking you: If you could order any takeaway to be delivered, what would it be? If you were to use the Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo scheme to order a takeaway, what would you choose? Are you a creature of habit who peruses menus for at least 10 minutes before inevitably deciding you’ll have the same as last time? Or do you like to try a new restaurant each time? Would a takeaway delivery after the first week back free up more time for you to spend as a family, and if so, how would you spend it?

Whether Mexican fajitas, Thai noodles or a classic Italian pizza is the takeaway of your dreams, share below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where 10 lucky MNers will each win £50 credit to spend on Deliveroo (T&Cs apply).

Thanks and good luck!

So wish we had a local Vietnamese! Would be our local Indian with loads of garlic naan. Always come beautifully packaged and piping hot.

Should add, busy doing up the house to put on the market so a takeaway would be a fab treat after days up a ladder covered in paint 😳. Browsing menus, whether takeaway or in actual restaurants, is one of my favourite pass times! Always up for trying new things but we do have favourites which we come back to.

Korean or Chinese!

My absolute favourite takeaways and whilst we do fakeaways that taste pretty good, nothing beats the real thing! Sticky Korean chicken or bbq chicken and pork fried rice 🤤

£50 would do our household two orders so I’d probably have both over the course of a week!

Crossing fingers and toes

So, we are asking you: If you could order any takeaway to be delivered, what would it be?

It would be a really good Indian takeaway from an authentic street food type place that serve masala dosas, bhel puris etc

Are you a creature of habit who peruses menus for at least 10 minutes before inevitably deciding you’ll have the same as last time?

No, I like to try different. things.

Or do you like to try a new restaurant each time? Would a takeaway delivery after the first week back free up more time for you to spend as a family, and if so, how would you spend it?

Would love to try different restaurants and it would give us time to chat as a family, maybe even play a board game or two.

I'd choose a chinese take away - nothing I make at home comes close to what we get from out local one and I have taken to trying something new from the menu each time - last time was salt and chilli aubergine which was lovely!

I would really love a chinese but we haven't found one that delivers here. Our normal takeaway choice here is pizza and we do tend to be creatures of habit and go for old favourites

I’d go for vegetable sagwalla, peshwari naan, mushroom rice, chana palak and brinji bhaji. I always spend ages looking at the menu but always end up with a combination of these vegetarian options, despite not being a vegetarian.

We are creatures of habit and when we do order a takeaway we all tend to choose the same. I do like to stick to restaurants that we know.
Ideal would be a chinese, with lots of different meals for us to share, buffet style.

Creatures of habit. Local Indian takeaway.

Poppadum, onion salad, mango chutney, mint dressing, paneer tikka, Gobi Bhaji, special chicken curry, pilau rice, garlic naan.

Chinese - mixed sharing starter (prawn toast, spring rolls, ribs etc), followed by king prawn foo yung with curry sauce 👌

We have an amazing local Mexican called Nacho Cheese. It's won best take away in Britain Star I'd definitely be ordering their chimichangas or enchiladas.

Like a PP, Five Guys. Goes down well with the kids and our branch is generous on the fries front.

But to be honest, I'd be happy with anything because it means no cooking for me, and much less washing up. Happy days!

Definitely Wagamama. I love that the price for kids meal is so reasonable (cheaper than a KFC!) And much healthier.

I want Falafel in my falafel-less village! Can you deliver 200 miles from London?! That would be my dream!

Chinese for us! Bbq spare ribs, Singapore fried rice, crispy chilli chicken, king prawn and mushroom 👌

I'd go for some amazing Mexican food. I haven't had any since before lockdown and it would be a great treat!

If I could have anything delivered it would be a selection of tacos but in reality I'd probably just have a nice Chinese maybe crispy duck

Nandos, I just love ordering a Nandos all for myself while the husband is out. Obviously you have to get a starter and nata to make it worth it..

Please say they're included in the deal?

Creature of habit here: we usually stick to Mexican, curries and pizzas. We always go for the same restaurant deliveries as we know they are reliable.

What I’d really like would be fish and chips, delivered still warm and crunchy from the most marvellous fish and chip shop in our city. Sadly, they don’t deliver.

We don’t live that far out of the city centre, yet Deliveroo still don’t deliver to our area. It’s particularly galling when we go out to our favourite Italian restaurant and the service is worse than normal as they are trying to fulfill a massive Deliveroo order!

Definitely an Indian! Lamb tikka, chapatis, mint sauce, pilau rice, saag aloo, saag paneer and a peshwari naan. Heaven, but soooo naughty

I wish we had a Wagamamas close enough but we don't! So it would be the local Indian instead 🤤 If I won a £50 voucher dh and I would just go nuts and order loads of dishes that we haven't tried before Grin

Sewsosew · 01/09/2020 22:50

I’d also have to order 2. A gluten free pizza for DD. For ourselves I’d love Thai, but there’s nowhere nearby, so a Chinese, I haven’t had one this year!
