Takeaways are perfect for those days when cooking up a big family dinner is the last thing you want to think about. After a particularly long day at work or a busy first week back at school, you may feel that your favourite takeaway is needed more than ever. With this in mind, Deliveroo would like to hear about your dream takeaway.

Here’s what Deliveroo has to say: “At the end of the first week back at school, you may feel like treating your family and having their favourite takeaway delivered. That’s why we’re excited to hear about your favourite takeaways and to give 10 of you £50 Deliveroo credit so you can treat your family to a well deserved meal.

But that's not the only way Deliveroo can help with your back to school meal times! You can Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo every Mon-Weds in September. We’re offering £5 off when you spend £20 on delicious food delivered from local restaurants*. So whilst Eat Out to Help Out may have ended, Deliveroo is continuing to support the restaurant industry and you can too (without leaving your home).”

So, we are asking you: If you could order any takeaway to be delivered, what would it be? If you were to use the Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo scheme to order a takeaway, what would you choose? Are you a creature of habit who peruses menus for at least 10 minutes before inevitably deciding you’ll have the same as last time? Or do you like to try a new restaurant each time? Would a takeaway delivery after the first week back free up more time for you to spend as a family, and if so, how would you spend it?

Whether Mexican fajitas, Thai noodles or a classic Italian pizza is the takeaway of your dreams, share below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where 10 lucky MNers will each win £50 credit to spend on Deliveroo (T&Cs apply).

Thanks and good luck!

Dream takeaway is from the greek/Turkish restaurant local to me. My favourite is the gyros :)

Anything vegan! But particularly curry.

It would be a turkish meal from a local turkish restaurant that has deliveroo delivery! They do the most awesome halloumi kebabs! Really flavourful foods and dips. Making my mouth water just thinking about it!

FelicityBeedle · 22/09/2020 22:13

It would be a massive Lebanese meal, lots of lovely mezze halloumi and hummus

Pizza and burger with fries

I love trying new places and my favourite food is chicken noodles with peri peri fries and for dessert i get a nutella and strawberry crepe

I would order a massive Turkish. Tavuk Siš and rice with some lovely Turkish bread and ezme.
The bonus being some leftovers for the next day's lunch.

We rarely get a takeaway but our ideal takaway would be Pizza Express. We all like the food - myself, my husband and our two daughters aged 9 and 12. This is an achievement in itself as we all like such different things. We are pretty boring in the=at we always order the same things - pepperoni pizza, ham pizza and margarita, as well as dough balls. The best thing about getting a takeaway for us is that I don't have to cook so have time to sit down in the evening for a change. It is a rare treat for us so only do it once in a while as it is quite expensive. Someone gave us restaurant vouchers last year as a present and we used them for Pizza Express take aways - it was such a treat.
