This sponsored discussion is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Takeaways are perfect for those days when cooking up a big family dinner is the last thing you want to think about. After a particularly long day at work or a busy first week back at school, you may feel that your favourite takeaway is needed more than ever. With this in mind, Deliveroo would like to hear about your dream takeaway.

Here’s what Deliveroo has to say: “At the end of the first week back at school, you may feel like treating your family and having their favourite takeaway delivered. That’s why we’re excited to hear about your favourite takeaways and to give 10 of you £50 Deliveroo credit so you can treat your family to a well deserved meal.

But that's not the only way Deliveroo can help with your back to school meal times! You can Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo every Mon-Weds in September. We’re offering £5 off when you spend £20 on delicious food delivered from local restaurants*. So whilst Eat Out to Help Out may have ended, Deliveroo is continuing to support the restaurant industry and you can too (without leaving your home).”

So, we are asking you: If you could order any takeaway to be delivered, what would it be? If you were to use the Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo scheme to order a takeaway, what would you choose? Are you a creature of habit who peruses menus for at least 10 minutes before inevitably deciding you’ll have the same as last time? Or do you like to try a new restaurant each time? Would a takeaway delivery after the first week back free up more time for you to spend as a family, and if so, how would you spend it?

Whether Mexican fajitas, Thai noodles or a classic Italian pizza is the takeaway of your dreams, share below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where 10 lucky MNers will each win £50 credit to spend on Deliveroo (T&Cs apply).

Thanks and good luck!

We like a Chinese takeaway! Our dream family banquet would be:

Spring / pancake rolls
Sweet and sour prawn balls
Beef chow mien
Egg fried rice
Crispy shredded beef
Chips and curry sauce

Sushi for us. I used to get it from a fab place near work but I've been WFH since mid March. We really miss it and would really love it.

I would love to be able to get health home coolest style food by takeaway

I would also love to be able to get safe takeaway for my children with allergies.

Life is busy but I still want and need to be healthy and safe.

Mmmm I love Thai food but my husband isn't a big fan so I'd order a lovely Thai curry for me and a pizza for him and our son. Or young twins love noodles all they could have Thai with me!

I would choose something Middle Eastern - breads and dips, lamb kebabs and so on. We've eaten more takeaways than usual during lockdown but don't have anything more unusual round here (we can get pizza, fish and chips, Chinese or Indian no problem) so I'd like something different for variety.

Toss up between Indian and Chinese but we have a great Chinese a few miles away so I'd go for that I think.

My favourite is Indian but it has to be really good food and lots of additional bits

It would be a Friday night, when we have all been at school and work for the week and are all anticipating and looking forward to the weekend and a relaxing time. I'd get the girls to dress in fancy dress (usually their princess dresses), would lay the table with the works....white tablecloth, crisp napkins, posh glasses for the fizzy - in jugs with lemon and ice cubes or water with ice/lemon/mint. My other half is the Butler....complete with dicky bow and suit.....and a white tea towel over his arm. The plates are in the warming oven, awaiting our indian takeaway from our favourite restaurant. We have low lights over the table....candles around the room, lovely bowls warming for the rice and nan breads. Some music, chosen by the Princesses, and dimmed lighting awaiting the take away man to call with our delicious Indian curry (one of us chooses different every time......two of us share, usually a selection of two, and the other one is the creature of habit and has the same one) from the same excellent restaurant we have been using for years which is just around the corner.

I like to think I am adventurous, and always scan the menu for ideas, but then always end up ordering very similar to my usual favourite.
My preferred meal changes sometimes by the hour but now, right now, I'd order an Indian meal from Dishoom. Honestly the food is amazing. Might even be tempted to try their breakfast menu.
Now feeling very hungry!

We love Thai food, so a thai green curry and jasmine rice is just the best - especially on 'date night'

I'm usually a creature of habit, and we still order directly with the restaurant as we've been doing for years, but if I won this voucher I'd definitely look into the other options that are available locally and try something new.
I really like stir fries but my ultimate takeaway would be a restaurant-quality steak dinner with lovely vegetables. I know it's probably impractical with delivery times etc but that would be amazing. Another great meal would be a mix of stir fries, starters etc but small portions and a big variety to suit one or two people, rather than huge portions of one or two things.

I am a creature I’d habit. Dream take away for me - sushi. For my children - pizza. Always same place! Yes a free takeaway would free up time! And I’d spend on... sushi and pizza!
