This sponsored discussion is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Takeaways are perfect for those days when cooking up a big family dinner is the last thing you want to think about. After a particularly long day at work or a busy first week back at school, you may feel that your favourite takeaway is needed more than ever. With this in mind, Deliveroo would like to hear about your dream takeaway.

Here’s what Deliveroo has to say: “At the end of the first week back at school, you may feel like treating your family and having their favourite takeaway delivered. That’s why we’re excited to hear about your favourite takeaways and to give 10 of you £50 Deliveroo credit so you can treat your family to a well deserved meal.

But that's not the only way Deliveroo can help with your back to school meal times! You can Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo every Mon-Weds in September. We’re offering £5 off when you spend £20 on delicious food delivered from local restaurants*. So whilst Eat Out to Help Out may have ended, Deliveroo is continuing to support the restaurant industry and you can too (without leaving your home).”

So, we are asking you: If you could order any takeaway to be delivered, what would it be? If you were to use the Eat In to Help Out with Deliveroo scheme to order a takeaway, what would you choose? Are you a creature of habit who peruses menus for at least 10 minutes before inevitably deciding you’ll have the same as last time? Or do you like to try a new restaurant each time? Would a takeaway delivery after the first week back free up more time for you to spend as a family, and if so, how would you spend it?

Whether Mexican fajitas, Thai noodles or a classic Italian pizza is the takeaway of your dreams, share below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where 10 lucky MNers will each win £50 credit to spend on Deliveroo (T&Cs apply).

Thanks and good luck!

I would choose every single type of dim sum possible - all super fresh and hot. Plus prawn crackers and Chinese greens with oyster sauce. Followed by ice cream Grin

I would choose a Thai meal (chicken green curry) from our favourite local restaurant which did amazing things during lockdown.

Persian lamb, auberine and loads of buttery rice.

Dishoom! Unfortunately I'm not in the right zone to order it in - I am craving their black Dahl and chilli cheese naan.

I am definitely a creature of habit. We have about 10 places that we rotate between, and I usually order the same thing from each... But I will always peruse the full menu first.

Winning this voucher would be amazing. I am currently pregnant so have very little energy for cooking right now!

I would love to find a decent gf friendly tapas or mezze restaurant, one that would deliver lots of delicious picky foods. Or Korean - not enough restaurants around here for my taste!

I wish we had a Thai place that delivered to us, I’d love that for a change.

Usually we get pizza or Chinese.

I'm probably quite boring with takeaway as I adore Indian food.

However would love to order in a really good tandoori chicken with some mushroom rice and some sag aloo. I would add poppadoms and some mango chutney and yoghurt.
Also a really nice chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.

Mmm hungry now

Love proper lamb kofte kebabs - I've moved away from a place that did them perfectly with flatbread, chips and salad. Yum.

Wagamamas as I've never had it and I've been hearing great reviews lately!

I'd choose the insanely good nutella mini pizza we had on our honeymoon in Rome - almost better than the wedding Grin

Unfortunately it might be a bit far for a Deliveroo bike....

I would pick Greek food to remind me of past holidays. Gyros Kleftico and slouvaki.

Indian is my favourite but to be honest I love all takeaway as it's such a treat!

It has to be my local Chinese - they do the most incredible crispy belly pork, peking grilled chicken, and pineapple fried rice. Alway use Deliveroo when we order from them!

Now the children are back at school and DH and I haven't had dinner out together in more than a year, I would order a take away lunch as we are both working from home. It isn't something we would usuly bother with but would feel such a treat.

Usually we would get Indian but there are ans increasing number of take aways that sound interesting. Maybe Japanese, Thai or Mediterranean. Something that the chdren wouldn't eat anyway.

I may have inspired myself to try this tomorrow...

My dream takeaway would come from multiple restaurants all delivered at the same time so everyone in the family could enjoy their favourite dish whilst sitting down to eat and chat together. I'd like it to include surprise elements like taster samples of different items as we tend to order the same items to avoid the risk of not liking new.

I'd like to be able to prebook my order and delivery time so the run up to meal time would be relaxed and enable us to grab a drink, talk about the day and just breathe in the calm of being all safely back together at home.

I'd have a creamy coconut sauce with noodles, tofu and tons of fresh stir fried veg. Followed by a vegan chocolate and orange torte with vanilla ice cream.

I’m boring but if I’m going to get take away I must cheat on my diet. Any dessert restaurant that can get me a hot/warm cookie dough will do.
