Finding the time to look good and keep your wardrobe fresh can be tricky at the best of times, never mind when you’ve got your hands full with the various obstacles that life throws at you. Whether you’re trawling the high street or searching online, acquiring the right outfit for the right occasion can be a mission - and not always a successful one at that. With that in mind, Stitch Fix want to hear your tips and tricks for staying stylish when you’re pressured for time.

Here’s what Stitch Fix have to say:
"Stitch Fix takes the hard work out of shopping so that you can get back to what really matters, without sacrificing on style. After filling in a short online questionnaire, a Stylist hand-selects, just for you, pieces from the best established and emerging European brands. The selection is delivered straight to your door. Keep what works, return what doesn’t, simple as that!”

Do you have certain accessories you use to freshen up an outfit and make it look ‘new’? Or do you make a dash for the shops when you have a couple of hours free and hope for the best? Maybe you have a few key friends or relatives you can borrow clothes from at times of great need?

However you manage to stay stylish with limited time, post on the thread below and everyone who does will be entered into a prize draw where 1 MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Keep it simple - classic lines - co-ordinating colours, well-fiited, comfortable shoes, frsh and clean

Mariobug25 · 17/08/2019 10:47

For me, it’s doing my shopping online. I find trawling through the shopping rails takes forever, but online you can filter quickly to find what you need! I also have a good selection of accessories - such as long necklaces, belts, scarfs that I know I can add to a plain outfit and make it stylish! As a mother of 2 I don’t have the time to be searching things out, so this works for me! X

Jeans and a nice top! Never fails. I also have an absolute fav jacket that looks great with loads of different outfits.

BL0SS0M · 17/08/2019 12:35

Having pre planned outfits for certain occasions helps me!

Smellophant87 · 17/08/2019 13:34

I don't really! I just find clean clothes and hope for the best! I suppose I have a lot of clothes that go together in deifferent combinations so it is generally easy to find an outfit that looks OK.

Plain white t-shirts are the ultimate to make yourself look fresh and nice.

purplevamp · 17/08/2019 18:50

I don't think I have style at all. If in doubt just wear something without holes in and brush your hair! Grin

A nice scarf or chunky necklace can make a plain outfit look stylish.

ginger179 · 17/08/2019 21:56

So, make-up is simply some mascara and a lip gloss! that's my must when I leave the house!
When it comes to clothes......Uch I really struggle with this so am enjoying reading everyone's comments, and I think I've realised that I do have a few 'go-to's'!
I tend to go for a good pair of black leggings and a pair of boots (a small heel as i'm quite tall) and team it with a vest top and a cardi, with a scarf - of which I have quite a few!!

nonnyno · 18/08/2019 09:30

Getting the outfit ready the night before helps. Dresses. No hassle matching top to bottom. Suitable shoes and you're done.

tabbaz123 · 18/08/2019 11:08

I am not sure it is a magic trick but I do have a few timeless classics in my wardrobe that I turn to and jazz them up with the latest prints/fashion accessories - an uptodate scarf for example can transform an outfit

laurac1987 · 18/08/2019 12:32

I use Instagram for inspiration and often buy things from Matalan, Asda, Sainsburys etc. as they are cheap, but usually decent quality. I mix up summer dresses and skirts with leggings and ankle boots in the winter and add nice accessories and cardigans.

kelliec · 18/08/2019 13:15

Just keep it simple with lots of things that can mix and match

sofieellis · 18/08/2019 14:55

I've recently cut my hair really short and after a quick squirt of hairspray it looks fab and I'm ready to go. I wish I'd done it years ago!

Twiglet1983 · 18/08/2019 15:15

I like shopping online with companies who offer free returns. I can then order a few things to try on and keep what I like, return the rest. I find this saves me the most time.

Red lipstick

Brandypie · 18/08/2019 19:28

I'm rarely stylish (comfortable though!) but I think the right shoes & bag can dress up an outfit when you're in a rush.

Borderkitt · 18/08/2019 19:40

I keep my clothing uncomplicated and and classic and use accessories to style my outfit

snare · 18/08/2019 20:01

personal stylist in shops is a great time saver to pick out classic pieces

dirtypop · 18/08/2019 21:03

always have a little black dress handy, can be used for all occasions depending on what you wear it with

eandoauntie · 18/08/2019 21:59

I tend to pick black outfits as when I'm pressed for time I don't have to try and match an outfit as everything goes with black.

alem17 · 18/08/2019 22:44

Shorter hair is more manageable

Gill81uk · 18/08/2019 22:47

If I don't have time to dye my hair then a root touch up sprays works wonders and immediately makes me look younger and more glam!

baconbap · 18/08/2019 22:48

If you find something you really like buy another of the same.

VickyRsuperstar · 19/08/2019 06:21

I buy clothes from Joe Browns in the sale as they are quite interesting and classy and look a bit different. If I need to look smart I can dress them up easily with a smart jacket or coat. I'm always rushed for time with the kids, but I always put some face cream on with SPF 15 and a little bit of eyeliner before running out the door!
