NOW CLOSED

With a school half term in our midst, you may be thinking about the ways you can keep your children occupied and active. Arla BIG Milk would like to hear about the Big Adventures you have planned or have been on this October half term.

Here’s what Arla Big Milk has to say: “We know how important it is to get your little explorers out in the world around them, so we’ve partnered with Magic Light to bring you yearlong BIG Adventures. From Gruffalo nature trail walks to BIG Adventures craft videos, there’s lots for you and your little one to get involved in. We’re also running an on pack monthly prize draw, available across UK grocery retailers, to give you the chance to win an amazing trip to Chessington World of Adventures. Arla Big Milk is simply fresh whole milk that’s enriched with essential nutrients so if you want to join in on the adventure, come visit our site to explore activities for your half term.”

What days out do you have planned for the half term? Do you have a trip to a theme or adventure park pencilled in? Perhaps you have plans to explore the great outdoors with your children? If you’ve already been on adventures this half term, what did you get up to?

Whatever your half term plans, post them below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

euromorris · 29/10/2018 11:49

We're going to the zoo!! :)

cathwarbur · 29/10/2018 15:07

Taking the kids for a day out at Birminghams living history museum. Taking them for county walks and get the involved with arts & crafts

poppy1973 · 29/10/2018 15:15

Walking up a really big hill near our house and kite flying. Walking in the local woods to get the children out of the house. Spending lazy days not having to get up really early to do the school run. Making, cooking, reading and revision for the eldest child, who has exams when he goes back to school.

Getting the house ready for a haloween party

First job - carving the obligatory pumpkin lantern, making rice krispie buns with melted chocolate, getting the crayons, glitter and glue out on the dining room table and making Christmas decorations (mainly paper chains), the last day we have arranged to meet cousins to go to the cinema. Busy busy busy.

JoGodfray · 29/10/2018 21:21

Everyone I have spoken to is absolutely exhausted!! The kids (& parents) need to have a rest!! Having said that my teens have made plans that will keep them very busy. We are going to rest for the first few days and then I will take the little ones to the cinema and get ready for Halloween.

We have already been on a National Trust pumpkin trail, and have a couple of trampoline and climbing things booked in. I like to give my kids a few days out but also a few days at home to relax and play with their toys as they don't get much chance during term time to really play.

We have done lots and lots Smile

We have been Colchester zoo which was the youngest ones first time and she was amazed by the penguins. We fed the elephants and giraffes.
We went to the local pumpkin Patch picked and carved pumpkins.
We met up with some new friends who’s son has the same genetic condition as my little boy.
We went to the cinema.
We went to the woods and took autumn photos in the different colour leaves.
We taught the middle one how to swim.
We done a family life saving first aid course.

Of course still got trick or treating to do!!

Now they are back to school & nursery as we had half term already and I really miss them being home.

MrRichTea · 30/10/2018 13:37

Went to Winchester & Marwell Zoo!

Lulabellx1 · 30/10/2018 14:10

Pumpkin picking! We have a pick your own pumpkin patch near us which is a great day out at this time of year :)

ROBDOLPHIN66 · 30/10/2018 21:28

If either of them do not kill each other or I don't kill either of them, then half-term will be an unqualified success.
Just done the pumpkins but trick-a-treating is very much in the balance after their behaviour today.

Ibiza for us. We don't really do summer holidays (too expensive) but go in April and/or October instead. Half the price and extends summer instead of just making part of it really hot.

rejcomp · 31/10/2018 16:23

Listening to the chorus of "I'M BORED"
