This activity is now closed

The summer holidays are filled with busy days spent navigating heaving soft play centres, staging obstacle courses around the garden, finding new reasons for why, no, your child can not have another ice cream - and generally throwing your all in to avoiding the dreaded moans of ‘I’m bored’. But when the kids are worn out and have (finally) been shipped off to bed, it’s time for parents to relax. With a range of new films, on demand and ready whenever you are, Sky Cinema is there to help you recharge this summer, and to celebrate we would love to know your tips for a perfect cosy night in.

Do you like to finally make the time to catch up on those new releases that you missed in the cinema, like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Star Wars: The Last Jedi or Justice League? Or maybe the perfect evening is spent with a glass of wine in hand, preparing a delicious slap up meal for two? Perhaps you use the few hours of peace to relax with a serious at-home pamper session - cucumber eye mask and all.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “Sky Cinema, the dedicated home for movie lovers. Enjoy unlimited movies on demand, from the biggest blockbusters to much loved family favourites. With something for everyone this summer, Sky Cinema is ready whenever you are.”

However you spend your perfect night in, post it on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

foxessocks · 20/07/2018 07:17

Box set that whole family are addicted to, chocolate, cup of tea or wine depending on how the day has been!

finova · 20/07/2018 11:44

Prob a bath by myself with a glass of wine!
Or a boxset and a shared bottle of wine.

rejcomp · 21/07/2018 21:02

LOL I'd need a TV license first :)

Nicole1709 · 21/07/2018 23:38

Our local takeaway, bottle of wine and binge watching a tv series with a blanket on the couch!

Rachdayan · 22/07/2018 20:19

Its more like a cosy night in the back garden at the moment with this weather, sitting with a glass of wine and the BBQ glows with some soft music playing in the background watching the stars. Sound like bliss.

pixi1008 · 22/07/2018 21:48

Our favourite movie, hot nachos and melted cheese with an array of dips, popcorn and a lovely glass of wine and a lovely cosy blanket and lit fire in the winter!

sootyo · 23/07/2018 09:40

Box set, snacks and the family

Kangakate · 23/07/2018 22:06

A takeaway and a family picked film on the tv, no phones, just some family time

angiehoggett · 24/07/2018 16:14

If the weather is nice I love relaxing on the patio with a Gin but will eventually retreat to the sofa for a movie and a snuggle!

KJ1986UK · 25/07/2018 13:38

It's got to include a good film that the whole family can enjoy (usually a comedy) and chocolate also helps.

Jocelynne123 · 25/07/2018 15:32

A perfect night in is getting the dogs walked first so they are tired. Cuddling up on the sofa with a takeaway, some goodies and wine. We take turns picking movies s there is no argument.

baconbap · 26/07/2018 14:53

A takeaway and something we both like on the telly

Doodygirl2009 · 26/07/2018 15:31

Perfect company, cosy blanket, nibbles and fantastic movie to watch

DassDass · 26/07/2018 18:50

baby asleep, pjs on, glass or 2 of wine, watching a funny movie with Husband without having an argument about what to watch first!

lorrainej162 · 26/07/2018 19:17

Takeaway and telly!

avery64 · 26/07/2018 19:52

The perfect night in for us is to sit snuggled up on the sofa (no modern tech allowed), catch up on anything and everything that has happened recently, make plans for the foreseeable future then just chill and count our many blessings! Pure bliss Smile

FrenchieMum2Be · 26/07/2018 22:37

A good boxset, some savoury snacks and a cuddle on the sofa after the kids go to bed, heaven!

Pimmpom · 27/07/2018 09:15

A good film and takeaway and my husband and I are very happy. Perfect night in for us!

noynoyavery · 27/07/2018 15:21

Not a huge tv fan, I do binge on some series though orange is the new black and handmaids tale . We get a nice thriller and glass of wine out other than that I'm happy to read and hubbys happy to watch sport x

piggypoo · 27/07/2018 17:17

Plenty of soft, snuggly blankets and cushions to lie on or hide behind! I turn the "big light" off in the living room, and we have the little lamps on so it's cinema like. The phones are all turned off, this is a rule. No laptops or other annoying little beepy bits of tech in the living room. Bowls of popcorn, plenty of treats, (choccy related) The cats arrange themselves on various laps, and we will watch a really, good film that all ages can enjoy. Family time, can't beat it! Reliving all the movies we enjoyed as kids!

MillyVanilli222 · 27/07/2018 22:31

A pizza is my go-to for a cosy night in! I like to sit on the sofa, watching a movie and hopefully getting some much needed peace and quiet!

grannybiker · 27/07/2018 23:13
