Laundry can be a surprisingly personal thing - whether you have a special way of hanging out your clothes or a foolproof way of getting your clothes to smell great. With this in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear what you consider the most important when it comes to laundry, and what you’d love your laundry detergent to do.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “We have some people tell us that scent is the key to a great wash, others who won’t compromise of softness or those who are all about natural ingredients or the gentleness of the formula. We would love to know what you just cannot not go without?”

Do you focus on getting rid of any odour from your clothes? Perhaps it’s important to you that your laundry products are skin-friendly for the entire family? Maybe you put a lot of energy into keeping your clothes in great condition? Are you a lover of fabric conditioner, keen to ensure that your clothes are all super soft?

Whatever the most important aspect of laundry is to you, share this on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

A balance between getting stains out of sticky toddler clothes while also being suitable for eczema prone skin.

I too had a miscarriage few days ago. I had spotted and bleeded for Around 15 days. Doctor has advised me bed rest I did it for 4-5 days but as I work for a bank had to go to work then because for how many days can you to take off. I dint knew this is so serious but wen expecting a pregnancy of 10 week as per LMP but as per ultrasound it was just 6 weeks and no heart beat. I felt cramping pain and then a miscarriage. It is just devastating. We were not planning a baby right now. But then we had the news and I was so much into it. I don’t kno what I lost but it’s so much

I’m happy to say that no aspect of laundry is of particular importance to me.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 16/06/2018 11:07

I want it to look and smell really clean and fresh

3boysandabump · 16/06/2018 11:36

Clean and smell nice

beckyinman · 16/06/2018 11:44

The most important thing to me is that things come out clean first time!

user1485629191 · 16/06/2018 12:02

The fresh clean smell

mumnosbest · 16/06/2018 13:05

It's got to be tough on stains (mud, grass, spaghetti hoops, paint) and smell fresh.

Also i like the towels to come out nice and soft

HelenSw4les · 16/06/2018 18:00

The most important aspect for me is that my laundry is clean and soft; I prefer to buy unscented laundry liquid as I love the smell of line dried laundry. We are fortunate that no family members have skin conditions but I would always choose laundry products that are friendly to the environment.

strawberrisc · 16/06/2018 18:08

The most important thing to me is the elusive search to make my laundry smell like my Mum's does. I've followed all her instructions but my clothes never smell as wonderful as Mum's!

thesockgap · 16/06/2018 18:25
  1. Clothes need to be clean - otherwise what's the point in washing them?!
  2. They should smell nice. I am obsessed with gorgeous-smelling laundry!
  3. No allergic reaction to detergent or conditioner.

Not finding a rogue tissue in the washing after the cycle Shock

Also I do always treat stains and armpits before washing. Find this makes a huge difference to longevity of shirts in particular and stops them going yellow/smelly.

Pitapotamus · 16/06/2018 23:52

Fresh smelling, stain free and soft!

Aftereights91 · 17/06/2018 08:08

I don't have just one ceiteria, I like my clothes to be clean, smell fresh and to not flare up my husband's eczema

dragontwo · 17/06/2018 08:46

keeping on top of it on a regular basis. I do a wash pretty much most days (only 2 of us here). Stops it building up too much and being overwhelming.

Salmonpinkcords · 17/06/2018 10:27

Fresh smelling and soft are main priorities as well as stain removing

Nikita90 · 17/06/2018 12:52

That it's clean and smells nice.

TwoGinScentedTears · 17/06/2018 12:58

I have too many laundry rituals to list them all here! All learned from my mum, who was a total anal retentive about laundry!

There are strict rules about what spin everything gets put on. About what loads have fabric conditioner in (towels don't!) and she loathed tumble dried clothes. To that end, I do my washing exactly as I was taught to, bar the tumble drying thing, most stuff gets tumble dried because of my hay fever!

Oh and I should have said she only EVER used Fairy non bio and blue lenor.

user1496053440 · 17/06/2018 13:14

Definitely that it is completely clean and also smelling fresh

joggingrunning · 17/06/2018 13:43

For me, the most important aspect of laundry is that the stains are removed and the clothes are cleaned.

vdbfamily · 17/06/2018 13:43

I have a few priorities. It has to work at 40 degrees, be good for sensitive skin and I have to take it straight out and smooth it out before hanging up as do not iron and have never owned a tumble dryer. My mum introduced me to Fairy non bio and it does not let me down.😃😃😃

IamReginaFalange · 17/06/2018 15:07

It has to be efficient, I have a big family (from messy little ones to smelly teenagers) so I don’t have time to rewash anything so it need to in the machine and then out the machine to dry Smile

sootyo · 17/06/2018 15:14

Clean and fresh

NambiBambi · 17/06/2018 18:53

My husband has bad eczema, I have psoriasis, one of our dc has rhinitis so we really don't want any washing liquid that will aggravate those. I do want a liquid that is as kind as possible to the environment.

sbruin1122 · 17/06/2018 20:02

making sure it smells nice!
