Laundry can be a surprisingly personal thing - whether you have a special way of hanging out your clothes or a foolproof way of getting your clothes to smell great. With this in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear what you consider the most important when it comes to laundry, and what you’d love your laundry detergent to do.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “We have some people tell us that scent is the key to a great wash, others who won’t compromise of softness or those who are all about natural ingredients or the gentleness of the formula. We would love to know what you just cannot not go without?”

Do you focus on getting rid of any odour from your clothes? Perhaps it’s important to you that your laundry products are skin-friendly for the entire family? Maybe you put a lot of energy into keeping your clothes in great condition? Are you a lover of fabric conditioner, keen to ensure that your clothes are all super soft?

Whatever the most important aspect of laundry is to you, share this on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Getting clothes clean first time. Hate having to re-wash stuff when a mark hasn't come out.

jandoc · 13/06/2018 12:17

that it smells nice and takes any stains out

BizziLiz · 13/06/2018 13:16

Primarily I want clean clothes and washed in something that is non-bio as I react to biological detergents. I'm not a fan of scented washes either.

TheFrenchLieutenantsMonkey · 13/06/2018 13:25

Definitely needs to.clean well at lower temperatures, especially whites. Tgeres nothing nicer than seeing a full clean wash of whites blowwing in the breeze on a sunny day. Makes me feel all grown up ,Grin

MrRichTea · 13/06/2018 13:49

Making sure that it feels & smells the best it can be!

wonderstuff16 · 13/06/2018 13:57

To smell nice and my white to be white!

laurac1987 · 13/06/2018 14:22

The most important thing for me, is that it doesn't irritate our skin. Especially mine as I get a bad rash on my back from certain washing powders and liquids. Smell is also a big thing too - I love my laundry to smell fresh and clean.

rosesandponies · 13/06/2018 15:56

Definitely scent for me - I have a strong sense of smell and a nice fragrance always boosts my morning when I dress. For the husband it's skin sensitivity- he is allergic to pretty much everything. I sometimes have to wash our clothes separately to get the balance between strong fragrance and skin sensitivity, which is a shame.

That my family put their clothes in the wash basket when it's actually dirty. Not when it's only been worn for half an hour before a change of heart occurs!!

JR25 · 13/06/2018 19:31

What I love most is that natural smell laundry has when it has been hanging outdoors.

Sezza110 · 13/06/2018 20:21

The lovely smell from freshly washed clothes

kittykomp · 13/06/2018 21:07

getting tough stains out

Nicole1709 · 13/06/2018 21:44

You HAVE to split up whites and darks. Also never overload the wash, and hang it up to dry as soon as you can without leaving it to get musty in the machine.

Lisapaige24 · 13/06/2018 22:16

The clothes have to look and smell clean lots of fabric conditioner especially on towels so there nice and soft and smell amazing

cherylann2461 · 13/06/2018 23:23

I love being able to dry outside, but a good fabric conditioner helps

Montydoo · 14/06/2018 07:03

For me the number 1 is that my detergent is skin friendly and won't irritate delicate skin, my DC has mild excema and I would not want this to flare up, if I can do anything to prevent it, I use fairy as I can trust this brand not to irrigate, I dry in the tumble dryer, or on an indoor airier in the pollen season. If there is a stain (tomato, gravy or puree) I will soak overnight in salted water to begin the breakdown of the stain before I wash.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2018 07:56

Clean, soft and fresh smelling.

jazzitup · 14/06/2018 09:12

The dreaded black sock, red sock or anything that turns wash day in to a disaster lol.
Check you laundy people.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2018 09:21

Haha Jazz was just thinking it's important a tissue doesn't get flung in the wash Grin Nothing worse than that moment you open the machine and are confronted with a disintegrated tissue disaster.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 14/06/2018 09:28

I'm just here for the voucher.

mishknight · 14/06/2018 11:14

love the fresh smell of clean clothes.I always use a fabric conditioner

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 14/06/2018 12:53

My priority has to be dds really sensitive skin. I like a nice smelling fabric conditioner too but have to stick to the baby friendly ones now.

Skybluepinkwithyellowspots · 14/06/2018 13:44

I'm very fussy about sorting colours before a wash. Whites cannot, ever, mix with anything else, just pure whites. I'm very, very proud of my whites Smile

Then darks, lights and pinks/purples/reds/oranges.

It goes without saying, that I want them really clean and smelling nice Smile

WilmaJean · 14/06/2018 16:37

Smelling fresh - line drying is the best at this. And fabric conditioner for softness.

Amber0685 · 14/06/2018 19:41

Stains out and a nice fresh smell
