Doing the laundry can be a messy task - whether that’s getting rid of your children’s unexplained stains or dealing with the piles and piles of clean clothes when you’re done. Who would blame you for dreaming about the kind of space that could make it all seem a bit more manageable. With that in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear about what would be in your dream laundry room.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “Did you know that the average mother spends 5 months of her life doing laundry? That’s a lot of pulling tissues out of pockets, separating loads and pairing socks! Imagine that you had your own separate laundry room. What would you want to make your life easier and nicer to spend time in?”

Would you have a separate washer and dryer? Or shelves for each family member’s clothes? Perhaps you’d have a fold down ironing board? Maybe you’d have everything - from appliances to airers - hidden away in cupboards?

Whatever would be in your dream laundry room, share it below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Lots of cupboard space for extra items. Separate washing machine and dryer, separate sink!

Gynlais · 17/04/2018 17:52

A ROBOT WHICH COLLECTED ALL DIRTY CLOTHES WASHED AND IRONED THEM AND KINDLY PACKED THEM ALL AWAY

barbergirl326 · 17/04/2018 19:08

A working washing machine would be nice. 😂 I’d keep it fairly simple. Washer/dryer in one. Sink for scrubbing muddy wellies. Probably have a hand held clothes steamer as who’s got time for ironing!? I’d have a fold down sewing machine for mending clothing, missing buttons etc, and quite a few baskets for all the odd socks 😀

stackable washer dryer and a sink would be great

TiggersAngel7774 · 18/04/2018 16:23

a machine that could program it self to wash and dry without ruining clothes.
Also a device to perfectly press and fold laundry

A seperate Miele washing machine and dryer. Dryer rack suspended from the ceiling and a dehumidifier for when I don’t want to use the dryer.

Someone to actually do the laundry.

More space for an extra dryer - I don't mind the washing it usually doesn't take that long, it's the drying that seems to take forever.

Washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board with steam generator. Big screen tv and coffee machine!

bubbleybooboo · 19/04/2018 11:53

Id love a proper laundry room where i could keep my ironing board up, the washer wouldnt be so low down, id have proper dryer with vents outside rather than a box that sits at the side and gets in the way. Id also love a drying rack that hangs from the ceiling that i could make lower and higher as and when needed. A good storage area for detergent would be good too x

andreaca · 19/04/2018 14:13

It would be lovely to have a dryer, airer, and a dishwasher if I had a laundry room to go with my washer, but I just dont have the space.

hann24 · 19/04/2018 14:29

My ideal would be someone to do the ironing!

I would have enough room for a washer and dryer, an airer, and a laundry basket for each type of washing. Though my DH and three DS's would probably still leave their clothes on the floor! Oh, I'd also like enough space to be able to do my ironing.

lolamia91 · 19/04/2018 16:06

lots of storage

zbody1 · 19/04/2018 16:15

A laundry room would be a luxury in itself ...and I'm guessing a house boy is out of the question . I would love a really well ventilated drying room . That would really make things easier . I hate using tumble driers so that would solve the problem of an airer / drier being placed in the hall .

Parentingsortof · 19/04/2018 19:06

A large washing machine and dryer with shelves so it is easy to sort washing baskets for each person

mummymel19 · 19/04/2018 19:23

Plenty of cupboards and sideboards, and the full monty of high tech appliances.

pixi1008 · 19/04/2018 21:04

A magician so that they could make the cleaning and laundry disappear in an instant! Grin

ellie17 · 19/04/2018 21:41

lots of shelves for storage we never have enough in our house

TLAF · 19/04/2018 21:50

someone to do the washing

Gill81uk · 19/04/2018 22:36

Definitely a separate washer and dryer. I would also like a nice big radiator and a ceiling clothes line so that I can dry clothes that can't be tumble dried in bad weather. A rail with hangers and a shelf where I could hang and fold each family members clothes ready to go back to bedrooms would also be amazing.

blue25 · 19/04/2018 22:39

Lots of space, including plenty of cupboards and a big window to stop condensation
