Doing the laundry can be a messy task - whether that’s getting rid of your children’s unexplained stains or dealing with the piles and piles of clean clothes when you’re done. Who would blame you for dreaming about the kind of space that could make it all seem a bit more manageable. With that in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear about what would be in your dream laundry room.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “Did you know that the average mother spends 5 months of her life doing laundry? That’s a lot of pulling tissues out of pockets, separating loads and pairing socks! Imagine that you had your own separate laundry room. What would you want to make your life easier and nicer to spend time in?”

Would you have a separate washer and dryer? Or shelves for each family member’s clothes? Perhaps you’d have a fold down ironing board? Maybe you’d have everything - from appliances to airers - hidden away in cupboards?

Whatever would be in your dream laundry room, share it below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

I'd love lots of space to sort the washing, an extra large advanced washing machine, including a feature that prevented colour-run. Also, a robot to do all the ironing would be fantastic!

A laundry maid would be nice! Smile

BigGreenOlives · 16/04/2018 08:04

Washing machine, drier, sink for hand washing/spot stains/period accidents. Hanging drier for sports wear/precious items, space for an ironing board & an airing cupboard for bed linen & towels. Natural light if possible. Shelves or ½ depth cupboards for laundry detergent etc.

Narnianescape · 16/04/2018 08:05

A self ironing machine would be a dream.

vonniebab2 · 16/04/2018 08:12

xcxcsophiexcxc · 16/04/2018 08:13

A washer a dryer and some sort of machine that would automatically get my clothes out of the dryer and fold them !

ptak5566 · 16/04/2018 08:42

A washing machine big enough to do duvets, mattress toppers etc as it costs me a fortune to get these washed!

Catmadroo · 16/04/2018 08:42

worktop, sink, cupboard, washing machine and tumble dryer. Also some kind of extractor fan. I dont do ironing but board can go in there too.

adamcorner · 16/04/2018 08:46

happysouls · 16/04/2018 08:47

Tom Hardy, a bottle of wine and NO laundry!

lulumajor · 16/04/2018 08:58

Someone to do it for me!

Babo1 · 16/04/2018 09:03

It would be nice to have cupboard space for the washing detergent and other sup plies, a sink just for handwashing, enough space outside to let clothes air dry and a stream generator iron along with enough hangers ( I always seem to be short) would be ideal too but most importantly a massive lock on the door to keep the husband and baby out so I can actually do something uninterrupted for 5 minutes Hmm

beanlucy21 · 16/04/2018 09:07

Well I would love a dishwasher in mine as that is the worse job for me when you having twin baby girls to keep a eye on xx

SuzfromSoton · 16/04/2018 09:08

A shiny new washing machine and drier, decent sized laundry basket (my current one could certainly do with an upgrade) and a closed cabinet for all the cleaning supplies.

lotte321 · 16/04/2018 09:09

For my 2 teenage daughters to magically appear and see exactly what happens after they put their clothes in the laundry basket!

lsymons · 16/04/2018 09:12

a fold down ironing board! Would be so handy!

ohh and maybe a housekeeper

andreyero · 16/04/2018 09:18

How about a room that just does everything for me? A robot to pick the clothes and group them, then wash them, dry them, air them, and iron them. And then one which folds them and put them in the wardrobe would be brill as well. Too much to ask for? Hahaha maybe in the next 20 years or so!

AR2012 · 16/04/2018 09:18

Foldimate

SSCRASE123 · 16/04/2018 09:19

Nothing fancy, a machine, tumble dryer but also lots of places to hang clothes that are just a bit damp from being out in the rain/showers without needing to drape them over radiators.

Bellaboo1234 · 16/04/2018 09:21

I would love an upstairs laundry room with plenty of workspace and cupboards. Maybe 2 washing machines and a tumble drier. I would also love a little helper to but it all away!!

sunshinewey · 16/04/2018 09:32

Okay.....lets be honest, having a laundry room would be a complete dream for me, to have the space ooh la la I would really love that, and also to own a tumble dryer, another item that i have never had the luxury to own, so yes, both would be a dream !

Jade5093 · 16/04/2018 09:37
