Doing the laundry can be a messy task - whether that’s getting rid of your children’s unexplained stains or dealing with the piles and piles of clean clothes when you’re done. Who would blame you for dreaming about the kind of space that could make it all seem a bit more manageable. With that in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear about what would be in your dream laundry room.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “Did you know that the average mother spends 5 months of her life doing laundry? That’s a lot of pulling tissues out of pockets, separating loads and pairing socks! Imagine that you had your own separate laundry room. What would you want to make your life easier and nicer to spend time in?”

Would you have a separate washer and dryer? Or shelves for each family member’s clothes? Perhaps you’d have a fold down ironing board? Maybe you’d have everything - from appliances to airers - hidden away in cupboards?

Whatever would be in your dream laundry room, share it below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Combo washer and drier, floor to ceiling radiator, and farmhouse style sink with storage underneath. Nice and simple yet effective

Elizasmum02 · 16/04/2018 13:25

I'd love a laundry room to have the washer and dryer in, all the household cleaning products in a lockable cupboard and a tv and chair so i can sit whilst ironing hehe

RACHELSMITH45 · 16/04/2018 13:37

A LAUNDRY FAIRY PLEASE!! Otherwise, a tumble dryer, plenty of space to dry/air clothing would be a bonus too.

chrissy53438 · 16/04/2018 14:34

washer and dryer. rail for hanging clothes on coat hangers. pull out drying wall. dehumidifier.

BizziLiz · 16/04/2018 14:50

My dream laundry room would contain someone else to do all the ironing - my least favourite domestic task. At a push I'd accept a robot to do it all.

Ferryfairy · 16/04/2018 15:09

A laundry bot which never tires

moonray · 16/04/2018 16:18

My dream laundry room would deffo have an ironing space where I could leave my ironing board up all of the time. It would have a large, deep sink , a folding table, lots of shelving and 2 big front loaders washing machines!

swanlady2000 · 16/04/2018 16:27

I already have mine.. it was priority that I had it when hubby wanted to move to a “doer upper” house. I have loads of cupboard space, a pull out ironing board, a sink for soaking, back door to outside and it’s a lovely space x

My Maserati.

My husband...in an apron!

babster · 16/04/2018 17:14

I'd like a sink and plenty of worktop space. An automatic tissue detector would be handy too as I often manage to miss one (in a dark wash, of course).

madge47 · 16/04/2018 17:30

A tumble dryer I dont have one. Plus I would have lots of storage.

frances93 · 16/04/2018 17:31

My dream laundry room would be a clean sweet smelling room, where I could literally throw the clothes through the door and in an hours time it would be washed dried ironed folded and neatly sorted into piles!

lalalauren416 · 16/04/2018 17:32

A massive machine and tumble dryer, maybe a robot that sorts and folds it too!

flowersfromheaven · 16/04/2018 17:40

In my dream laundry room I would have a CD player/Radio as music makes Ironing more enjoyable.

Lauzipop1 · 16/04/2018 17:45

I'd love a nice and bright laundry room with a separate washing machine and tumble dryer. I'd also love some storage units just to give me a bit more room.

swebb1985 · 16/04/2018 17:52

Definitely separate washer dryer with lots of cupboards to neatly store away all the powder/stain remover etc etc.

I have no tumble dryer atm and it's getting really tiresome tripping over clothes airers all over the place!

mooota1514 · 16/04/2018 18:19

I'd love a laundry room to have the washer and dryer in and especially one with separate shelf's and space to have the ironing board up when needed!

hayleyrob01 · 16/04/2018 18:21

a washer dryer, lots of shelves and space to fold and store laundry. hanging space for drying

EggysMom · 16/04/2018 18:29

Like others, my laundry room should have another person, or maybe even a team of people, to do my laundry for me!

Flowerpower222 · 16/04/2018 18:42

I would have a radio, a place to stack and air washing, a place to store the iron and detergents, a place for my lint remover, cashmere comb and scissors.

AEE1 · 16/04/2018 18:48

A robot butler to do all of the washing and ironing. I just need to drop off the laundry and then put it away afterwards.

Minnibix · 16/04/2018 19:01

I would like an automatic washing machine and a tumble dryer plenty of room for cupboards so everything can be put away and not out on work tops. Space for a clothes dryer and a lovely steam generator iron

pennwood · 16/04/2018 19:08

My ideal laundry room would be well ventilated with fitted cupboards to house the pull out ironing board, the large drum washing machine, & all the small things like the iron, coat hangers & laundry consumables. Plenty of worktop space for folding, & a large stainless steel sink. Space for airers, & the outdoor rotary dryer storage. A television, & built in radio for entertainment. Robotic assistance would also be very nice!

kaizen99 · 16/04/2018 19:10

I would have an automated washing system where dirty clothes go in one end and clean and ironed clothes come out of the other! If not, maybe a laundry person....
