It’s hard to believe that there was once a time when all our gadgets didn’t exist and people had to live without modern essentials such as a washing machine ! This is hard. Can't imagine being without a fridge/freezer, washing machine, oven, laptop/tablet or hairdryer. I'd manage without the dishwasher, tumble dryer, phone and kettle.

Thinking about it, I think it would be my hairdryer. Talk about first world problems...
