Now that the nights are drawing in, and with half term around the corner, movie nights can be a great way to spend some quality time with your family and enjoy the warm indoors. To celebrate their new collection of Animated movies, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your family’s favourite animation films, both new and old.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “This October, Sky Cinema has put together our biggest ever collection of animated movies to brighten up your Autumn. The collection includes a wide range of animated movies, from the latest hits such as Sing and Kubo and the Two Strings to Disney-Pixar movies like The Incredibles or the Ice Age movies. All available to watch whenever you want on demand.”

Has a recent release, such as Secret Life of Pets or Trolls, become a firm favourite? Or, do you love the nostalgia of passing on a classic like Fantasia? Whether your family prefer the new ones or the classics, or both, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your favourite animation films - and why they manage to make it onto the list.

All who post below about their family’s favourite animation films will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

We love the Pixar films but the firm favourite in our house that is watched over and over is zootropolis, as an adult is has a few ‘in’ jokes that make it bearable to watch!.

firawla · 07/10/2017 13:25

Big hero 6 is a favourite with my dc and also me! It’s so well made and we just loved it! From the more recent movies, sing was brilliant

StaySexyDontGetMurdered · 07/10/2017 13:41

We love the Lorax in this house. My eldest child and myself are lovers of dramatic songs!

I also love Basil the mouse detective as a real throwback

Fantasia,especially the Sorceror's Apprentice scene!

Sammyislost · 07/10/2017 14:10

I love the new Trolls movie, it's soooo well animated with wonderful characters and the songs are great too!! Of course, I also love the old classic Disney animations such as 101 Dalmatians, and Dumbo! I probably enjoy animated films more than regular films!

burwellmum · 07/10/2017 15:43

We love the Toy Story movies - a real family watch, appealing to young and old.

ScaryMary81 · 07/10/2017 16:33

Despicable me all 3 and toy story series and madagascar! Can watch them again and again!

lostinlego · 07/10/2017 17:50

Fantastic Mr fox, I really enjoyed. Then The Incredibles, Toy story, and Shrek as they were firm favourites of the kids when they were little.

Holliewantstobehot · 07/10/2017 20:05

So many. Vintage Cinderella for me followed by Tangled. DS's favourite as a child was Robin Hood followed by Jungle Book. DD loved Bedknobs and Broomsticks which is part animated and also Snow White.

dannydog1 · 07/10/2017 20:05

We love The Jungle Book. Fantastic characters and fantastic music.

Sierra259 · 07/10/2017 20:08

My own favourite is Aladdin but The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast all remind me of going to the cinema when I was little.

DC1's favourites are Tangled and Moana (which I think are 2 of the best recent ones)

EasterRobin · 07/10/2017 20:12

The Disney version of Robin Hood was my favourite as a child. I'd love to see it with my DD now.

Ttbb · 07/10/2017 20:59

I have always loved the older Disney films like Cinderella and Robin Hood

Anj123 · 07/10/2017 21:46

I have fond memories of Dumbo because it’s the first film I can remember seeing.

ladygoingGaga · 07/10/2017 22:51

Our favourites are always the one with ridiculously funny little characters that have us in stitches.
Donkey in Shrek.
Penguins in Madagascar make me cry with laughter, no matter how many times I see it.
The acorn chasing scene in ice age
The kids roll their eyes when they know which bits I'm about to laugh out loud too.

SleepingStandingUp · 08/10/2017 00:16

My toddler is obsessed with Moana and I did love it at the cinema but I have to say o love the old ones too. Fantasia I can remember picking myself when I was about 8, and Lady and the Tramp has always been a huge favourite. I always wanted a ruffly cradle like they put the baby in.

Might have to introduce him to Happy Feet as he currently loves Penguins

1moreRep · 08/10/2017 08:42

sleeping beauty- classic

Mrsmonkeymoo1 · 08/10/2017 09:18

Our favourites are Up amd despicable me 3 at the moment. Up though is our all time favourite

Belmo · 08/10/2017 11:18

My dd's current fave is Moana.
Really struggling to pick - maybe ToyStory or Aladdin?

piraterach · 08/10/2017 11:29

Flushed away is one of my favourites. I love aardman animation, the cheeky double entendres make it fun for adults as well as children Wink

CopperKettle11 · 08/10/2017 12:03

Boss Baby was our Summer holiday film this year - watched it loads! Another family favourite is Rio 2!

InvisibleKittenAttack · 08/10/2017 12:54

I love Toy Story and Up

Dc2 is currently obsessed with secret life of pets, dc1 unfortunately loves all the god awful Pokémon films.

SunshineEuphoria · 08/10/2017 16:28

Favourites in our house at the minute are all the Disney films, from the classics through to pixar, especially Cinderella and The good dinosaur. We are also loving Trolls, Gnomeo and Juliet and Flushed Away.

wannabestressfree · 08/10/2017 18:31

We love
Me- up. I could watch this over and over. It just has everything. I cried like a baby in the cinema much to my sons embarrassment.
Ds1 the fox and the hound. Reminds him of my nan. The only video she owned and they used to watch it together.
Ds2 all the despicable me films. He loves drew as he is not conventional. The anti hero :)
Ds3 loves zootropolis and super hero 6. Likes anime and Japanese type films.
We love sitting round and watching a film together!

Beach11 · 08/10/2017 20:05

DS had just started to get into films & loves Finding Nemo & Dory, he's not old enough to sit through a full film yet but likes dipping in & out. Plus, asking for me to rewind his favourite parts.
