Now that the nights are drawing in, and with half term around the corner, movie nights can be a great way to spend some quality time with your family and enjoy the warm indoors. To celebrate their new collection of Animated movies, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your family’s favourite animation films, both new and old.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “This October, Sky Cinema has put together our biggest ever collection of animated movies to brighten up your Autumn. The collection includes a wide range of animated movies, from the latest hits such as Sing and Kubo and the Two Strings to Disney-Pixar movies like The Incredibles or the Ice Age movies. All available to watch whenever you want on demand.”

Has a recent release, such as Secret Life of Pets or Trolls, become a firm favourite? Or, do you love the nostalgia of passing on a classic like Fantasia? Whether your family prefer the new ones or the classics, or both, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your favourite animation films - and why they manage to make it onto the list.

All who post below about their family’s favourite animation films will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

We always love to watch Lion King

RiSo · 19/10/2017 13:04

My eldest son loves the Lego films, any of them he isn't fussy. My middle son is all about Toy Story and Cars, he is desperately waiting for Cars 3 to be released on DVD to add to his collection. My youngest son loves Trolls and plays it as often as he can get away with. Personally I love Ice Age, the humour in it has me laughing everytime!

merlymerly · 19/10/2017 13:05

The Lion King is our favourite - we love the story and we all know the words to the songs!

shroney · 19/10/2017 13:19

Our absolute favourite is The Snowman and we also enjoyed the new Beauty and the Beast.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 19/10/2017 13:31

devito92 · 19/10/2017 14:06

Toy story as it appealed to all ages and I could point out to my DS the toys I had

Leanfun · 19/10/2017 14:12

Here Ice Age has been replayed and replayed.

fazkin · 19/10/2017 14:16

helly27 · 19/10/2017 14:53

We watched Inside out and it really helped our daughter to understand and deal with all the different feelings she has out of the film, very helpful

grannybiker · 19/10/2017 15:22

Jungle Book

mummykate87 · 19/10/2017 15:24

We're all about Disney films in this house. Toy Story for life!

francislee1976 · 19/10/2017 15:28

my fave animations film is watership down

RacingRaccoons · 19/10/2017 16:41

My favourite is Tangled!
My DS favourite is Toy Story or the Good dinosaur.

Ikea1234 · 19/10/2017 16:57

We love the old Robin Williams movie RV. It has gross poo jokes, family rivalry, downright silliness and it's Robin Williams at his funniest. Brilliant!

buckley1983 · 19/10/2017 18:37

My all-time favourites are 'Watership Down' - a bit dark I know, but it's brilliant! I defy anyone not to cry when 'Bright Eyes' starts to play!!
Another timeless classic is 'The Sword in the Stone' - I love everything about it - the animation style, the songs, the characters - love, love, love it!
My little man loves 'Paranorman' & 'Boxtrolls' - another fan of the darker side of animation! :)

Marg2k8 · 19/10/2017 19:27

Anything Disney was always a favourite of my DD.

joeyhanmum · 19/10/2017 19:32

DP and I both love Bugs Life and Antz - my kids don't sit through many films but looking forward to sharing these with them when they are bigger! Toy Story is a huge favourite of ours too!

jujugaboo · 19/10/2017 19:42

My daughter and I both love Tangled. The music and story is really good. My 4 year old actual prefers real people to animation, like Matilda and Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe

Weebo · 19/10/2017 20:16

Coraline is one we never get tired of watching.

spottypjs · 19/10/2017 21:10

Toy story, Shrek and Monsters Inc .... oh and the Lion King of course!

hibbertheather · 19/10/2017 21:27

I used to be a sucker for a classic like Pocahontas or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but since a year or so ago the all round fave for everyone in our house is How to Train your Dragon. (We actually prefer the sequel!)

jimmyadon05 · 19/10/2017 21:51

My daughter loves all of the Disney Movies especially those with Princesses. Her favourite at the moment is Moana
