Now that the nights are drawing in, and with half term around the corner, movie nights can be a great way to spend some quality time with your family and enjoy the warm indoors. To celebrate their new collection of Animated movies, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your family’s favourite animation films, both new and old.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “This October, Sky Cinema has put together our biggest ever collection of animated movies to brighten up your Autumn. The collection includes a wide range of animated movies, from the latest hits such as Sing and Kubo and the Two Strings to Disney-Pixar movies like The Incredibles or the Ice Age movies. All available to watch whenever you want on demand.”

Has a recent release, such as Secret Life of Pets or Trolls, become a firm favourite? Or, do you love the nostalgia of passing on a classic like Fantasia? Whether your family prefer the new ones or the classics, or both, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your favourite animation films - and why they manage to make it onto the list.

All who post below about their family’s favourite animation films will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

glenka · 18/10/2017 19:41

The Lego movie is a firm favourite in our house.

Signoritawhocansway · 18/10/2017 19:42

We love PIXAR films - especially for the 'shorts' at the beginning of them!

holey · 18/10/2017 19:47

Cinderella was the very first full length film my daughter sat and watched, aged two, and she loved it so much she insisted on watching it every afternoon. She still loves it now and she's almost 17. As a family we tend to go for the CGI type films like Shrek and Toy Story and we are massive Minions fans so love all the Despicable Me films.

WonderLime · 18/10/2017 19:52

Mine has always been Emperor's New Groove!

maisiesnan · 18/10/2017 20:09

Bamboo is a firm favourite in our house

blue25 · 18/10/2017 20:12

The original Fantasia is a hit in our house. Always brings a tear to my eye as it reminds me of my Dad who loved it.

swebb1985 · 18/10/2017 20:15

Madagascar. Plenty of jokes for adults to laugh at too!

twinklenic · 18/10/2017 20:27

My little girl has been poorly as of late so we have had a little binge watch of older kids movies and she really liked Bambi and the wizard of oz. shes only 4 and i wasnt sure she would sit and watch , but she did

feefeegabor · 18/10/2017 20:27

My daughter has been brought up on vintage Disney. Her favourite for a long time was Peter Pan - she even took to dressing up as Peter (for a whole year!). She also loves Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty. We definitely prefer the older Disney films although we do love Tangled!

cheryl100 · 18/10/2017 20:29

We love the new beauty and the beast! We purposely searched out everything relating to the movie when we recently went to Disneyworld as well, our favourite part was meeting the beast!

emmav6 · 18/10/2017 20:30

i have enormously enjoyed watching beauty & the beast with my son, he loves to watch the old one now too

lolly2011 · 18/10/2017 20:31

We love a mix of new and old, my sons love Moana and Trolls but we also watch Lilo and Stitch and Labyrinth, we tend to watch a mix of films for movie night.

pennwood · 18/10/2017 20:33

Jungle Book is the favourite classic that the family all love as it has something for everyone but is still relevant as much today as it first was.

Jade5093 · 18/10/2017 20:34

My 5 and 3 year olds still absolutely love moana ... I do too!

sarah861421 · 18/10/2017 20:38

The recent favourites have been Moana, Sing, and Inside Out, Each one could one watched repeatedly without being annoying. Looking back our favourites were Bambi, Dumbo, and Fox and the Hounds, but when I watch them now there are scenes in them that I fast forward through when there are children watching

nettymay · 18/10/2017 20:41

Shrek is our favourite - we love him and his antics!

cheekychicken24 · 18/10/2017 20:45

Got to be Finding Nemo - it's so funny! I had such high hopes for the sequel, I bought the DVD on release, but we only watched it once. We prefer the original!

Kennylou12 · 18/10/2017 20:58

We love the studio Ghibli films, princess mononoke is definitely the best of them all.

alsproject · 18/10/2017 20:59

MrsDramaQueen · 18/10/2017 21:03

I'm a sucker for the Disney ones. My favourite is Beauty and the Beast

towser44 · 18/10/2017 21:16

We recorded an animated Cinderella last Christmas for our DD and she absolutely loves watching it. I couldn't actually believe that it was actually originally released in July 1950 though!

maryandbuzz1 · 18/10/2017 21:31

As a whole family we all enjoyed Toy story.....there was something that everyone enjoyed not just my young son. I loved Bambi but Shrek was a favourite as well.
