Now that the nights are drawing in, and with half term around the corner, movie nights can be a great way to spend some quality time with your family and enjoy the warm indoors. To celebrate their new collection of Animated movies, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your family’s favourite animation films, both new and old.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “This October, Sky Cinema has put together our biggest ever collection of animated movies to brighten up your Autumn. The collection includes a wide range of animated movies, from the latest hits such as Sing and Kubo and the Two Strings to Disney-Pixar movies like The Incredibles or the Ice Age movies. All available to watch whenever you want on demand.”

Has a recent release, such as Secret Life of Pets or Trolls, become a firm favourite? Or, do you love the nostalgia of passing on a classic like Fantasia? Whether your family prefer the new ones or the classics, or both, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your favourite animation films - and why they manage to make it onto the list.

All who post below about their family’s favourite animation films will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

Moana is definitely my daughters favourite. She sings it non stop and we have seen it so many times. At least I don't have to listen to Let It Go anymore.

hiddenmichelle · 18/10/2017 17:07

Love some of the new ones (Secret Life of Pets), but trolls?? (please - just terrible!) Prefer the classic Disney movies in our house usually.

footdust · 18/10/2017 17:10

My daughter's favourites are Moana and Trolls , we both enjoy singing and dancing to the music

gd2011 · 18/10/2017 17:15

Wall-E

sheilads105 · 18/10/2017 17:16

We are big fans of the old animated Disney films - Snow White, Cinderella. The kids know the stories and it makes for safe but fun viewing.

hbakfam · 18/10/2017 17:26

I prefer classic films like The Lion King or Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers!

Catmadroo · 18/10/2017 17:26

My son and I love the Despicable Me series and How to train your dragons best, though we do like so older animation like Aristocats, Hercules and original Beauty and the Beast

glennamy · 18/10/2017 17:28

The classics for us like Mary Poppins, The jungle Book, Bedknobs & Broomsticks etc I watched them as a child and so do my children. A firm favourite too is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the original with Gene Wilder!

Ssssh dont tell anyone but our family cant wait for a little visitor to arrive as its an excuse to put on the Hungry Caterpillar and other stories DVD - its quite amusing actually as it kind of puts everyone in a trance and in a state of complete relaxation - they should use this DVD in dentist and hospital waiting rooms as time seems to pass by and no one realises! haha. I think I will keep that DVD for life!

keshimonster · 18/10/2017 17:31

I love a classic like Lady and the Tramp but Despicable Me has made its way onto our top movie list. We are all minion mad now, hilarious movies!

Happyjad · 18/10/2017 17:48

Fantasia is a fantastic animation and gets watched a lot :D

colleysmill · 18/10/2017 17:53

I love the old classics - the fox and the hound, lady and the tramp and i remember one wet summers day on holiday being taken to see The Care Bears movie in the 80s! Now that was a real treat!

the dc enjoy the Despicable Me series most of all at the moment although if a Minecraft movie or Paw Patrol movie came out then I have no doubt those would be the favourite

ang65t · 18/10/2017 18:02

toy story is timeless

lovelykins · 18/10/2017 18:04

I love "The Sword in the Stone", but the young prefer Pixar movies.

edoody · 18/10/2017 18:12

I love animated films probably more than the kids! Despicable Me is probably the family favourite and Toy Story was great too!

SSCRASE123 · 18/10/2017 18:14

The Croods is our absolute favourite and the only reason for this is the little belt creature who makes the "DA DA DAAAAAAA" sound. Get's us all smiling when that happens.

mollymoo818 · 18/10/2017 18:17

As much as I like the classic Disney movies such as Beauty and the Beast and even Bambi the favourite in our house which has been on repeat for what seems like forever is Moana. The kids absolutely love it and never seem to get bored watching it. Even me who is sick of watching it still catches myself stopping what I am doing to watch my favourite scenes. I think it is definitely a new classic.

mave · 18/10/2017 18:32

We love classics, my daughter loves Lady and the tramp, it's her favourite at the moment!

ThemisA · 18/10/2017 18:32

We all love the 'Stuart Little' films and classics like 'Bambi' and 'The Jungle Book'. Despicable Me 2 is loved my my daughter and her friends.

Pastychef · 18/10/2017 18:38

Toy story !

Dizzyc73 · 18/10/2017 18:42

My children have always loved the Disney classics like Snow White and Cinderella, however to be fair they also loved the newer animated movies. Their particular favourite was the Lion King, I've watched it with them so many times that I could probably recite every single word!

fayesmummy · 18/10/2017 18:44

Disney pixar movies are a big hit with our family. The Incredibles, Cars, Inside out and Ratatouille especially. We also love the mini specials such as Lava.

bevmichelle47 · 18/10/2017 18:59

The Secret Life of Pets is my grandsons fav, and to be honest it's mine too! lol

It's funny and engaging, with an excellent voice cast, the animated animal adventure certainly captured us!

littleme96 · 18/10/2017 19:29

I absolutely love Zootropolis - it has a great message, work harder, don't give up on your dreams and nothing is impossible!

We also all love Kubo and the two strings. It is a very clever film, that is a bit different from the norm.

LeeR1985 · 18/10/2017 19:30

My daughter loves them all but we generally end up watching the newer films. Recently its been Moana, Trolls and Storks but she'll watch anything. I prefer the newer ones myself
