The team at Baby Alive® would love to hear all the funny things you have heard your child say to their doll - have they copied something you have said but at not quite the right moment, do they treat them like their own baby and love them gently, whispering lullabies or have they been very bossy and told them all off?

Please share your funny tales on this thread!

In case you don’t know about Baby Alive® - they say “Baby Alive® turns real mummy and daddy moments into a magical world of play. More than adorable dolls, they’re babies that talk, eat, drink, wet, and laugh — just like real babies! Kids become the grown-ups, experiencing first-hand what it’s like to be a parent who is excited, delighted, and surprised by all the many ways they can nurture and play. Using accessories based on each baby's theme, they can feed her an actual drink, change her nappy when she really wets, care for her when she is poorly and much more. Baby Alive encourages real moments of connection and discovery that bring alive the love inside of every child.”

Add your comment and you will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 Toys R Us voucher.

My daughters babies go up her top Then she gives birth to them! Then she tries to bf them.... that's what having younger siblings does!

tallandlong · 20/09/2017 09:32

the doll got a stern telling off with, she's my mummy not yours!!

ameswright2906 · 20/09/2017 09:42

I told my 5 year old son and 4 year old daughter that my friends were coming round with their baby so they both got one of my baby girl's dolls and wrapped it in a muslin cloth and put it in the cot. They then took it out, went and sat on the sofa with it and told me they were babysitting so that they could babysit my friends baby!

hiddenmichelle · 20/09/2017 09:44

Telling them off using words I would was always funny to hear and using adult words that sound odd for kids "This is not acceptable!"

If you don't eat the crust on your bread your hair won't curl

MrsDramaQueen · 20/09/2017 10:10

If you don't clean my room I will put you in the naughty corner.

AR2012 · 20/09/2017 10:19

The funniest thing is she likes to feed them. Shes smart enough to know theyre not real.

aitchykate · 20/09/2017 10:19

I heard my daughter saying to her two dolls 'I'm going to separate you two.'

theresamustgo · 20/09/2017 10:25

'Mummy doesn't think you can hear me - but she is silly - because you can,. can't you. It is just you don't like speaking out loud. '

aggga8 · 20/09/2017 10:27

My dauther wash doll hair and put her to bed, after cover she start reading her book:)

happysouls · 20/09/2017 10:32

My son had a tiny little rabbit toy that fit perfectly in his hand for clutching at bedtime. The funniest thing for me was that he called it Thomas Eggling and it seemed like an amazing name for a 4 year old to come up with and I had no idea where he got it from!

janeyf1 · 20/09/2017 10:42

My one hates dolls and pulls their heads off but likes teddy bears and kisses them before going to bed and says nighty night to them

starlight36 · 20/09/2017 10:59

'Wait a minute, Mummy is busy but she'll be there in a minute'.
Probably the phrase I say most often!

beckyinman · 20/09/2017 11:07

I heard her saying "Daddy doesn't need to know!" Who knows what they had been doing!!!

shellywkd · 20/09/2017 11:08

We has a Mummy make me better and my daughter got quite annoyed and said "are you always poorly?" I think she missed the point of the doll.

rutsan · 20/09/2017 11:09

My daughter put her doll on the naughty step and was giving her a telling off. I found it really funny until I heard her say "you have ruined all my mums new make up", I ran upstairs and yes the "doll had ruined all my new make up and bed sheets!!

Schmoo35 · 20/09/2017 11:34

my daughter tells her doll if she doesnt eat her carrots she wont be able to see in the dark. i find it hilarious.

sharond101 · 20/09/2017 11:52

In a museum gift shops pointed to a doll and said, "I think that one wants some booby.

Sammyislost · 20/09/2017 12:33

My son adored having a doll to look after. He would push it around in a little Peppa Pig buggy. Before he went to preschool, he would take it up to his bed and put it under the covers and say "shhh, my doll is having a nap, you've got to be quiet" even though he was always so noisy himself.
It was so sweet and I really love that children can look after such a life like doll! She sounds so wonderful.

andywedge · 20/09/2017 12:56

When my doll grows up can it marry Daniel (her brother)?

Treaclespongeandcustard · 20/09/2017 13:00

My 3 year old changes her dolls nappy and says to me 'my baby's been a bit of a monkey today mummy, how's yours?' She likes to stand side by side and change our babies nappies together Grin

FizzyGreenWater · 20/09/2017 13:49

'Bedtime now Dolly. I have to put you in the bed and you have to stay there because it is night time'

'Yes I know it's not really night time yet... But it's night time for YOU.'

Grin Grin Grin

DD has always told stories to her dolls/soft animals but after a trip to the seaside I overheard her saying that she couldn't take them all on the trip as there wasn't enough space on the beach for them all and that they need to learn to swim! :)

georgedawes · 20/09/2017 15:09

My DD used to put on a special voice for talking to her doll, but instead of sounding nice and sweet in a sing-song type way, it just sounded really menacing! "Now, now baby, GO TO SLEEP". Hate to think where she got it from!
