The team at Baby Alive® would love to hear all the funny things you have heard your child say to their doll - have they copied something you have said but at not quite the right moment, do they treat them like their own baby and love them gently, whispering lullabies or have they been very bossy and told them all off?

Please share your funny tales on this thread!

In case you don’t know about Baby Alive® - they say “Baby Alive® turns real mummy and daddy moments into a magical world of play. More than adorable dolls, they’re babies that talk, eat, drink, wet, and laugh — just like real babies! Kids become the grown-ups, experiencing first-hand what it’s like to be a parent who is excited, delighted, and surprised by all the many ways they can nurture and play. Using accessories based on each baby's theme, they can feed her an actual drink, change her nappy when she really wets, care for her when she is poorly and much more. Baby Alive encourages real moments of connection and discovery that bring alive the love inside of every child.”

Add your comment and you will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 Toys R Us voucher.

Thanks and good luck

When my youngest was about 3 she told her dolly that if she didn't do as she was told she would be put on the naughty spot, she was very serious when she said it too. I had to suppress my giggles otherwise she wouldn't have been impressed haha.

She blamed the doll for weeing the bed Hmm

I heard Alaina playing school with her dolls and said to one of them "right your going on the rain cloud for that behaviour"

HiggeldyPiggeldy · 08/10/2017 21:46

my daughter told me her doll ate all the biscuits and sat her on the naughty step

I loved hearing DD talking to her babies and sounding just like me with her little sister.
She even walked around with her doll held to her 'breast'.
Mimicry can be very cute.
:)

We were walking along the canal, my daughter was carrying her tell and she suddenly announced "Dolly, you're a heavy lump!" :D

Sleepysausage · 08/10/2017 22:35

Dd has recently been given her first dolls. They're twins and on opening the wrapping paper and seeing them she said 'they are the babies from my tummy'! She's not quite 2 and I had no idea she knew babies came from 'tummies'

You ruined my hair!! (Apparently it was the doll who found the scissors)

lolamia91 · 09/10/2017 00:04

When you grow bigger we can be best friends 🤣🤣

upthehammers · 09/10/2017 00:15

my little girl used to carry her doll around by it's hair, i'd tell her that wasn't very nice and get told "mummy, she's just a dolly" only for her to then go off and whisper "i'm sorry baby, you know i love you"

jazzitup · 09/10/2017 09:22

When my little monkey was a bit younger I overheard her talking to her doll and say I love you Daddy, sadly it was a princess doll :o/
Confused 49 year old Dad.

My little one turned round to his Woody doll and asked him why he was always looking at him!

Dessallara · 09/10/2017 13:16

You did wee wee again? I'm so tired of changing your nappies! Then pretends to change her nappy for a tenth time today :D

Jocelynne123 · 09/10/2017 14:06

I caught my daughter telling her doll not to grow up. That it was better to stay a baby forever because then you didn't have to go to school or eat your vegetables. Xx

lkash20 · 09/10/2017 14:11

My son has a dolls house and likes to create everyday scenarios such as going to the shops, going to school etc with the dolls. The other day when he was playing he said to the mummy doll "Now it's your turn to go to the hairdressers. You need to get your hairy lip fixed too like my mum!" To say I was mortified was an understatement, though I am grateful he said it to his doll and not one of the mums at school, I would have died of embarassment!

Gallant1 · 09/10/2017 15:32

Time for naked time

RupertsMum2 · 09/10/2017 15:50

Ds1 to his doll, "Oh god baby, you're giving me sciatica"! I do have sciatica but don't ever remember blaming it in the children.

Sezza110 · 09/10/2017 16:42

My son was on a play date with a friend and they were changing the dolls clothes. He pointed to the doll's chest and asked why it was 'bumpy'. I didn't know what to say.

VickyRsuperstar · 09/10/2017 18:26

My little girl (age 3.5) was telling her dolly off and then replying for the doll she said "but I'm not naughty...I'm cute!"

molly57 · 09/10/2017 18:51

Gromit - Which turned out to be a word for "broken"

cathryn1 · 09/10/2017 19:30
