Watching a film can be a great way to spend time together as a family over the Great British summer, and Sky Cinema would like to hear about the family films you’re looking forward to watching or would recommend.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “With Sky Cinema, it’s easy to find something to watch this summer. We’ve got the biggest family blockbusters from 2016 available on demand, from The Secret Life of Pets and Jungle Book to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them”.

Take a look at the Ten biggest blockbusters from 2016 and all of the family films available with Sky Cinema. Let us know about the ones you’ve watched as a family (and what you thought) and sharing those that you’re looking forward to watching with your children and why.

So, whether your family summer film watching is on rainy days or during a relaxing evening in, share your favourites and those you’re looking forward to below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

So far we all as a family have enjoyed boss baby and recently went to see the emoji movie.
Both great fun.
Me and DD are looking forward to the My little pony film out in October Blush

The Lego Movie is a big hit in our house, so one that we're looking forward to watching at home with the children is The Lego Batman Movie.

The kids also really like the original Disney Jungle Book film, so I'm interested to see how the new version of the Jungle Book compares, and wondering if the kids will like that as much as the original Disney version.

My 3 year old is mad about Frozen.... we can't watch anything else anything else at all!

feenan761 · 17/08/2017 17:27

My kids have been watching 3D movies such Minions, Lego Batman, Zootropolis & Despicable Me 3since their uncle bought them a 3D player, the movies and the 3D glasses. I've never known them so quiet Grin

My dd "accidentally" bought boss baby on sky but turned out to be a good choice we've watched it a few times now! We make use of sky cinema a fair bit- always a good selection of films for all the family to watch!

Moana is a huge favourite here - usually first choice. The LEGO Movie and LEGO Batman are also popular. The Paddington film was a hit earlier in the year, although youngest at four found it a bit scary.

Fantastic beasts and the Jungle book were firm favourites in the Moomin house.

The DC loved the Jungle book as I've shown them the Disney version a few months ago. And DH and I loved fantastic beasts as we're currently rediscovering our love for all things Harry Potter at the moment, plus starting to read them to the DC at nighttime

We've had Moana on almost daily throughout the holidays! I do enjoy watching it with my children as it is a good film with some catchy songs! Also Secret Life of Pets and Storks are ones we have enjoyed watching together as a family.

We all loved the new Beauty & the Beast and its quite hard to find films that work across the kids' age-range (6-12) that we're all happy to watch together. DD1 is a big fan of Emma Watson since her Harry Potter days, so that helped, but we also all found it really beautifully made. I'm looking forward to 'Fantastic Beasts' as it was the first film DD1 saw independently at the cinema (with only her friends), so I had no excuse (or opportunity!) to go & see it too!

ellenemery · 18/08/2017 19:52

We are all looking forward to get together to see Star Wars.

Byrdie · 20/08/2017 16:04

My kids are very keen to see smurfs the lost village! And I was very excited to finally see star wars rouge one after my husband and eldest saw it in the cinema when it came out. I loved watching sing with them too - and boss baby! I love kids films!!

Funnily ENOUGH ETHAN is mad about MR BEAN GOES ON HOLIDAY
I'm surprised to say the least as it's not even an animated one
He's only 3 and haven't a clue how he discovered it in the first place
