Watching a film can be a great way to spend time together as a family over the Great British summer, and Sky Cinema would like to hear about the family films you’re looking forward to watching or would recommend.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “With Sky Cinema, it’s easy to find something to watch this summer. We’ve got the biggest family blockbusters from 2016 available on demand, from The Secret Life of Pets and Jungle Book to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them”.

Take a look at the Ten biggest blockbusters from 2016 and all of the family films available with Sky Cinema. Let us know about the ones you’ve watched as a family (and what you thought) and sharing those that you’re looking forward to watching with your children and why.

So, whether your family summer film watching is on rainy days or during a relaxing evening in, share your favourites and those you’re looking forward to below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

Our current favourite, beyond all doubt, has to be Moana. The songs are super catchy... but I think I'm getting tired of listening to them! :p

lego batman - great fun - enjoyed by us all

Jocelynne123 · 09/08/2017 15:18

We love having movie nights snuggled up with blankets the secret life of pets and The jungle book have been recent favourite. We really love harry potter so fantastic beasts was a huge hit. We are looking forwards to watching trolls and moana xx

We all love films in our family and have looked forward to the new Sky Cinema releases. The kids especially love Disney and Pixar so they were really excited about Moana and Zootropolis. There were some great songs in Moana and the graphics were gorgeous and they thought Zootropolis was very funny. My older children enjoyed Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children it was quirky and a bit different more for older kids. We all loved Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them as we are all huge Harry Potter fans, and this film didn't disappoint it had brilliant special effects. I am looking forward to seeing Rogue One A Star Wars Story, as I have been a Star Wars fan since seeing the originals as a kid. My eldest dc and hubbie saw it at the cinema so for me it is this months epic. A great film we watched recently was Captain America Civil War, one of the (if not the) best in the Marvel franchise to date and finally my guilty pleasure was watching Bridget Jones Baby, a great romcom and love Colin Firth

MissChrisOfficial · 09/08/2017 16:57

The secret life of pets is a huge hit here and it's so funny!

I also love Bridget Jones - Moana is a great edition and has saved us on a rainy day this week my niece loved it.

glmcall123 · 09/08/2017 19:23

My daughter really enjoyed Moana, we all sang along. Fantastic Beasts is a family favourite too.

pongopig · 09/08/2017 20:12

We recently watched Zootropolis as a family. It was funnier than I expected, worth it for the scene with the sloth, so funny.

RestingBitchFaceKeepsYouYoung · 09/08/2017 21:16

My DDs loved Moana at the weekend, and you know what? Me & DH loved it too!

queenoftheschoolrun · 09/08/2017 21:35

We recently watched E.T. which was great. The BFG is great too.

sashet21 · 09/08/2017 22:29

Looking forward to watching Bridget Jones baby and Deadpool. My kids love Finding Dory.

boptanana · 09/08/2017 22:50

We really enjoyed moana and zootropolis. Looking forward to boss baby and fantastic beasts.

Concerned321 · 09/08/2017 23:12

We all loved Moana, each time we watch it just gets better

toopeoply · 10/08/2017 06:43

Moan a! And zootropolis. Fir my partner and I, we've watched most of the fasts and furiouses several times!

tabbaz123 · 10/08/2017 08:06

Out of those listed in the top 10 then Jungle Book is the only one we have actually watched as a family as it is the only one that we felt was suitable for ALL ages lol - from the little ones to the big daddies who can resist Jungle Book ?! Confession time - as I am typing this I am actually singing "I wanna be like you oo ooo" Needless to say a big fan of anything Disney

Babieseverywhere · 10/08/2017 09:09

Moana is our current favourite. Every time someone says 'your welcome' the rest of the family burst into song, lol :)

TheJunctionBaby · 10/08/2017 09:13

Another Moana fan here - well DD2 that is!

We are currently working our way through the older movies such as shrek, brave and despicable Me. The rainy weather has ensured lots of pj and movie days!

kamaxtra · 10/08/2017 09:31

Loved Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! Harry Potter fanatics in this house :)

2Cats1Tot · 10/08/2017 12:42

Moana and Tangled are massive hits with my just turned 4 year old. We are looking forward to Trolls which we haven't seen yet. Secret Life of Pets was also a great watch for 4 year old (mummy and daddy loved it too!)

JayJay1874 · 10/08/2017 15:31

Moana was great and looking forward to watching Boss Baby - just ordered it through Sky Store.

One comment around Sky Cinema and the daily premieres - it's a shame that there's only 1 daily premiere each day and it's not tailored to age ranges. As a family, we go on and look some days only to find today's is a horror so it's of no use. Would be good if there was 1 adult, 1 family premier a day.

DaddyfingerAnnihilation · 10/08/2017 17:33

We watched The Goonies and the eldest DC's absolutely loved it! Youngest DC loves The Good Dinosaur, whenever he's hard to settle I know if I put it on he will calm down instantly, it's magic!

sweir1 · 10/08/2017 19:57

My little one is slightly obsessed with zootroplis

StandUnderMyUmbrella · 10/08/2017 20:01

We loved watching The Secret Life Of Pets together as it was hilarious. Im looking forward to showing my daughter Turner & Hooch, one of my favourite films ever. Yes, i like an animal film xx
