Having a pet is like having an extra member of the family; they can be a huge source of joy and comfort, but they’re also a lot of responsibility. Pet Insurance company, Bought By Many, want to hear about some of the smaller mishaps your pets may have had; those moments that remind you just how much they need you to take care of them.

Here’s what Bought By Many have to say: “We know pets can be mischievous and get themselves into sticky situations, so we’ve launched pet insurance with features no other provider offers. You can choose between policies that will never go up in price, give you money back if you don’t need to claim or cover your pet’s pre-existing medical conditions. Bought By Many is free to join, and 290,000+ people already have!!”

So, to get your hands on a £300 voucher, tell Bought By Many about the mishaps your pets have had - the funnier the better! If your labrador has ever broken into the dog treats cupboard, or your bird has fallen off its perch, or your cat misjudged a leap from one sofa to the next, post on the thread with your stories and you’ll be entered into a prize draw for a £300 voucher of your choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

We have two chocolate Labradors which are both a bit scatty, however Merlin does get a lot of ear infections as Oscar loves to chew on his ears. He is always waking up with sopping wet ears, poor love.

My cat ate my valentines flowers! She is a little monkey and keeps us on our toes

One of my cats must have been grooming herself round her face when she got her paw stuck through her collar, she looked very odd trying to move on 3 legs so we could get her paw out and tighten up her collar so it didn't happen again!

our cat felix keeps getting stuck in people garages and we have to keep ringing the council to get in contact with the owners.

Our king charles ate a pair of my tights - a couple of days later, we had to drag the tights gently out of his little bottom, which were still fully intact. :( :(

We have 2 rabbits and one day we could see one in our daughter's play shopping basket. When wondering where the second rabbit was, we discovered it was crammed in the same basket under the first rabbit and she had been carrying them around the garden!

Avoid "More Than" and any other pet insurance underwritten by RSA

Our insurer gave us the PUSH-OFF': The name for harsh new fees for pet owners with 'lifetime' cover – because providers DON’T want them to stay
• Lifetime pet insurance is supposed to cover a pet for their entire life
• Dog owner Tony Dearsley's yearly premium rose to £7,410 to stay with insurer
• 'Push-off' fees are designed to persuade per owners to lapse insurance policies
• Ombudsman sent more than 1,500 pet insurance gripes in the last financial year

Tony Dearsley was left stunned when he was told he could keep his lifetime pet cover – but only if he was prepared to pay an annual premium three times higher than the year before, a massive £7,410. ▶ Full story on dailymail.co.uk
