Or maybe it’s as simple as getting a good night’s sleep. Whatever secret you turn to to help you wake up feeling fresh, Liz Earle wants to know it.

I do a 2 hour exercise class, core Pilates and then a mad 20 minutes of cardio and boxing followed by 25 minutes of strength training and stretching. I ache all over but sleep really really well after and always wake up with so much energy, also possibly lighter the morning after.

Littleallovertheshop · 12/04/2016 22:14

No caffeine after 6 for me, make up off and moisturiser on pre bed with a glass of water. Electronics off after 10, in bed and settled for 11.

  • If you use tablets, phones or laptops after 9pm use apps like f.lux which automatically dim the display lights at sunset so it's easier on your eyes and you get some sleep.
  • Green tea before bedtime or after dinner helps me feel refreshed when I wake up in the morning.
  • Get enough sleep! Have a set bedtime and make sure you stick to it, your body will get used to it and you'll definitely wake up bright eyed!

A good nights sleep, plenty of water, no alcohol, a clean face with some nice Liz's product and ...............................................
a weekend away from the children !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A non caffeine based drink before bed, no tablets or devices for at least an hour and a good book usually does the trick.

lottietiger · 13/04/2016 14:14

Not letting your rom get to hot, taking all your make off before bed and most importantly no looking at Facebook on your phone! Or any other gadget .. So none mails etc within an hour of bed time

ha2el · 13/04/2016 17:13

Make sure that you keep up a good level of physical activitiy during the day and drink plenty of water (but not within a couple of hours of going to bed. This makes you sleep well and wake up refreshed.

I adore Liz Earle products. I recently tested out a cream for a different brand and my skin was awful. 5 days back with a full Liz Earle skin care routine and my skin is healthy and hydrated again. Fantastic and won't be making that mistake again! So, I really recommend a good skincare routine, hot cloth cleanser, toner and a good day/night cream, morning or night. I was a late starter with this and have only been doing if gorgeous the last 5 years but it makes such a difference, and makes you feel good about yourself too. I don't often get a good night sleep (our toddler is in our bed....but that's another story!) I think it would help even more though, along with drinking plenty of water.

Lulabellx1 · 13/04/2016 20:37

Take your make-up off the night before with a gentle eye make up remover. Get a good night sleep. In the morning have a strong cuppa and wash your face. Ta-da... bright eyes!

Yorkstone · 13/04/2016 20:43

Good night sleep, staying well hydrated plus some eye cream and moisturiser pre bed and in the morning! Halting ageing...we wish!!!!

CombineBananaFister · 13/04/2016 21:22

Keep a diary - best way to get a good nights sleep and wake-up energised is to deal with the day, leave nothing lingering in your head. Writing it all down - the ups/downs before bed is quite cathartic and i do think your brain works through some of the stuff you're trying to solve when you sleep so you wakeup clearheaded and with a fresh perspective. Clear mind, clear skin

chewbecca47 · 13/04/2016 21:50

Bed with no make-up on is a must, as waking up with black sleepies does not a fresh eye make! Also, a refreshing lemon juice in warm water always makes my tired eyes alert and sets me up for the day, :)

VilootShesCute · 13/04/2016 22:07

Don't drink anything an hour or two before bed. No midnight pee trips.

NerrSnerr · 13/04/2016 22:09

Get someone else to look after your teething toddler, preferably in another county.

rainbowvalley · 14/04/2016 00:22

I keep two 2 dampened tea bags in the fridge and one hour before bed I put tea bags on eyes and just relax (with my make up removed of course) it rests your eyes and helps to unwind from daily stresses too!

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 14/04/2016 00:34

A nice run usually helps! You naturally drink more and eat better when you regularly exercise I find

Romcom · 14/04/2016 04:23

I swear by reading at bedtime and original mint source shower gel to wake me up in the morning!

Mummageddon · 14/04/2016 05:22

My tips are - Go to bed early and split weekend lie-ins between you and your partner when the children are young to get a good night's sleep.
Separate duvets are also a godsend if your OH steals the quilt at night.
Moisturise before bedtime and your skin will be lovely in the morning.

leccybill · 14/04/2016 10:39

All make up off, no screens before bed, and an early night.
I wish I could take my own advice, I look about 100.

Belo · 14/04/2016 13:22

Water, sleep and running! If I get enough of all 3 into my life I feel full of life and my skin glows.

Failing time to do the above, then a facial helps!

eandh · 14/04/2016 13:28

when possible get enough sleep (when you have insomnia easier said than done!) drink lots of watering always take off make up before bed! I try and avoid caffeine these days as only makesme worse and all else fails send the husband and kids away for a few days so I can sleep in peace ;0)

gazzalw · 14/04/2016 13:40

Get enough sleep and drink enough water every day!

gamerwidow · 14/04/2016 14:04

Send my daughter to my mums for the night!

cookie09 · 14/04/2016 15:50

Make sure you remove all make-up before bed, make sure you have a lovely rich night cream on your skin and definately have a good 8 hours sleep. I make sure i turn all electronics off half hour before i need to go sleep to help me wind down. What also helps is that you drink plenty of water through the day to make sure you are kept hydrated.

Unthoughtknown · 14/04/2016 19:55

Lots of water, nice hot bath before bed
