We can’t always wake up looking as bright eyed as we’d like. From the children keeping you awake, to staying up late to watch your favourite show or checking your Facebook (or Mumsnet!) account, it can all take a toll on us come morning.

Here’s what Liz Earle say “We are proud to announce that our secret for visibly brighter eyes, NEW Superskin™ Eye Cream, has arrived. This luxuriously hydrating new innovation features a powerful botanical blend which helps to visibly lift and firm, while also reducing the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. So, what are your top tips for waking up looking bright eyed? Do you leave the iPad, laptops and phones downstairs when you go to bed? Maybe you have a no-caffeine policy after dinner? Or maybe it’s as simple as getting a good night’s sleep. Whatever secret you turn to to help you wake up feeling fresh, Liz Earle wants to know it.

Everyone who posts on the thread with their tips will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky Mumsnetter will win the complete Liz Earle Superskin™ range, worth £305*. The range includes:

Heidipiedy · 11/04/2016 12:48

happysouls · 11/04/2016 14:26

Waking up looking bright eyed? It hardly ever happens! But I sleep alot better and wake up alot better if I have the bedroom window open and lots of fresh air.

smudgedlipstick · 11/04/2016 14:59

I take all makeup off and contact lenses out as early in the evening as I am able. A good skincare routine making sure to cleanse, tone and moisturise both in the morning and evenings. A good splash of very cold water first thing in the morning is also a good wake up!

angiehoggett · 11/04/2016 15:39

I use a cooling eye gel, it really helps and it works even better if you put it in the fridge to cool it right down first

Emrob86 · 11/04/2016 15:47

Go to bed early!

LuckyBluie · 11/04/2016 19:00

Lots of water, sleep and eye drops! Smile

nbaskers20 · 11/04/2016 19:11

A nice warm bath, fresh pyjama's , fresh bed sheets and plumped up pillows always make sure I get a really deep sleep and wake up feeling really refreshed.

windowmouse · 11/04/2016 19:55

Use a god eye cream and drink lots of water

KIRANKAUR1985 · 11/04/2016 21:11

Have some down time before bed, so no gadgets before bed, usually read a book to wind down and then when I'm tired I go off to bed.

Maclairey · 11/04/2016 21:17

Well I havent slept for 3 years so personally for me it would be an uninterrupted 8 hours. Sadly neither of my children sleep so I generally survive on 4-6 hours broken sleep, if i am lucky. I try and drink plenty of water during the day to keep me hydrated to help the under eye suitcases bags. Failing that I break out the touche eclat!

Trills · 11/04/2016 22:16

The only time I have truly woken up completely bright-eyed and raring to go was after over 24 hours of flights back from New Zealand.

I have no idea what time my body thought it was, but I was AWAKE.

Normally I emerge much more gradually.

irie · 11/04/2016 23:29

Leave the baby at my mums!!

planepointer · 12/04/2016 08:28

Dark room with window open for some fresh air

mo3733 · 12/04/2016 08:44

i find having a cool bedroom but a warm bed helps me sleep

rahlikeatiger · 12/04/2016 10:37

Haven't seen if anyone has suggested this but I have one silk pillow case which I move to sleep on. Along with the usual cleansing routine, essential oils and plenty of water, it really helps with brighter eyes in the morning. I occasionally use an eye mask too as I like the room dark and cool when I go to sleep!

Mozarmstrong · 12/04/2016 11:53

Make-up off. Lots of water. Sleep . Dreams of the day or beach faraway thats a good tip.

beckyinman · 12/04/2016 12:26

Download one of those apps that wakes you up gradually when you are ready rather than an alarm

rhinosuze · 12/04/2016 17:47

Make sure you get the kids to bed early and really work on them sleeping through

ginag87 · 12/04/2016 18:45

Use a fab moisturiser first thing in the morning along with a eye roller for keep those bags at bay! Also moisturising just before bed helps!

StDogolphin · 12/04/2016 19:23

Invest in a really comfortable mattress and bed linen.

stewaris · 12/04/2016 19:55

Remove makeup, moisturising night and eye cream, no booze (boo hoo!) Sleep tea (can't remember who makes it but I buy it in Waitrose maybe Twinings) and a relaxing book or mag.

nerysw · 12/04/2016 20:16

I can't be bothered doing a whole cleanse, tone malarky at night so make sure I have a stock of make up/cleansing wipes which are quick and easy to use.

annarack99 · 12/04/2016 20:39

Cucumber slices on the eyes for a couple of minutes is a real refresher and makes you look and feel much perkier!

AuntieMaggie · 12/04/2016 20:47

A good night's sleep, not setting your alarm but waking up naturally, plenty of water, no junk food, no caffeine or sugar, a low carb high fat diet and taking your eye make up off gently
