Here’s what Liz Earle say “We are proud to announce that our secret for visibly brighter eyes, NEW Superskin™ Eye Cream, has arrived. So, what are your top tips for waking up looking bright eyed? Do you leave the iPad, laptops and phones downstairs when you go to bed? Maybe you have a no-caffeine policy after dinner? Or maybe it’s as simple as getting a good night’s sleep. Whatever secret you turn to to help you wake up feeling fresh, Liz Earle wants to know it.

Get enough sleep, cool room and drink plenty of water before bed (and when woken by toddler throughout the night). No make up. Hope to be asleep before dp comes to bed and snores.

SweetPeaPods · 01/04/2016 21:22

Taking off eye make up and a glass of water before bed definitely helps.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 01/04/2016 21:43

I have no idea. I sleep plenty, drink plenty of fluids and still have tired eyes.

Following this thread closely for tips!

HelsinkiLights · 01/04/2016 21:45

Take make up off before bed, use a facial oil then eye cream & night cream.
Try to get enough sleep but most if all don't rub or pull the skin around your eyes too much!

mcdog · 01/04/2016 21:48

Teaspoons in the fridge the night before. Emergency cure for puffy red eyes.

bluebump · 01/04/2016 21:49

Getting enough fresh air in the day so I sleep well and don't have trouble getting to sleep. I find a cool room helps me sleep better.

Whyisitsodifficult · 01/04/2016 21:51

Always take off all make up no matter what! For puffy morning eyes, wrap an ice cube in a tissue and hold over lids seems to help. Eye lash curlers and mascara, essential.

CheeseEMouse · 01/04/2016 21:53

A full night of sleep helps me. Unfortunately I haven't had one for months now!

AngryAnnie · 01/04/2016 21:54

Sleeping 7 hours straight does it for me - if I wake up in the middle of the night (which I do often) it doesn't matter how many hours I get in total, I look and feel awful next day.

ILikeBigBumpsAndICannotLie · 01/04/2016 22:15

No drinking. A decent nights sleep and a few glasses of water really show on your face. A face cream with spa all year around helps too.

ILikeBigBumpsAndICannotLie · 01/04/2016 22:16

Spf not spa. Blush

mumsnit · 01/04/2016 22:33

A full night's sleep and drinking plenty of water does really help.

Sadly though, I often fail on both counts!!

ButterflyOfFreedom · 01/04/2016 22:35

Lots of water, no alcohol
Fruit & veg, no refined sugar
A good nights sleep

These all make me look & feel healthier with glowing skin & brightereyes!

HitsAndMrs · 01/04/2016 22:43

Moisturiser for me, the dryer my skin, the worse I look under the eyes. Dark circles are hereditary though, right?

Birnamwood · 01/04/2016 22:45

Lots and lots of water during the day and if you wake with baggy, saggy eyes- cold spoons that have been in the fridge and rub the back of them around your eyes soon sorts that out

FanSpamTastic · 01/04/2016 23:17

Put your pillow in the fridge.

Theimpossiblegirl · 01/04/2016 23:19

Sleep
More water, less booze
Good quality sunglasses
Clean off eye make up every night
Moisturise

fridaykitten · 01/04/2016 23:22

Drink water not pop/tea/juice in the evening.
Use a really good eye make up remover.
No screen time the hour before bed.

Expellibramus · 01/04/2016 23:26

Silk pillowcase, no alcohol, little caffeine!

CopperPan · 02/04/2016 00:11

I always use a separate eye cream, but it doesn't have to be expensive - Aldi has a great one and Superdrug own brand is also good.

Shinynewbed · 02/04/2016 00:39

Sleep on your back, all make up off, plenty of water and a good 8 hours.

cavalo · 02/04/2016 02:20

It does seem that every hour of sleep before midnight is worth more than an hour of sleep after midnight, so early to bed helps, and again keeping hydrated during the day.

FeelingSmurfy · 02/04/2016 03:02

Get enough sleep, how long is enough differs from person to person

BoxofSnails · 02/04/2016 05:55

No alcohol.
No screens at night except very low light kindle.
As little makeup on a regular basis as possible.
Sleep in a cold room.
I have a 'Simple' eye gel that has a ball bearing type thing to roll it on, I think the cold metal is as beneficial as the contents.
Agree with whoever said 1 hrs sleep before midnight = 2 afterwards. Early nights with stress relieving techniques if needed.

ChiChiRaRa · 02/04/2016 06:15

Lots of sleep and a good eye moisturiser!
