We can’t always wake up looking as bright eyed as we’d like. From the children keeping you awake, to staying up late to watch your favourite show or checking your Facebook (or Mumsnet!) account, it can all take a toll on us come morning.

Here’s what Liz Earle say “We are proud to announce that our secret for visibly brighter eyes, NEW Superskin™ Eye Cream, has arrived. This luxuriously hydrating new innovation features a powerful botanical blend which helps to visibly lift and firm, while also reducing the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. Used regularly, eyes appear brighter, refreshed and wide awake. Available now"! Check out the new Superskin™ eyecream here.

So, what are your top tips for waking up looking bright eyed? Do you leave the iPad, laptops and phones downstairs when you go to bed? Maybe you have a no-caffeine policy after dinner? Or maybe it’s as simple as getting a good night’s sleep. Whatever secret you turn to to help you wake up feeling fresh, Liz Earle wants to know it.

Everyone who posts on the thread with their tips will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky Mumsnetter will win the complete Liz Earle Superskin™ range, worth £305*. The range includes:

7-8 hours sleep a night and try and start to relax getting yourself ready for sleep before bed so sleep comes quicker.

liz1970 · 10/04/2016 13:01

Make sure you drink lenty o water and you have enough sleep :)

dogdog · 10/04/2016 13:05

Green tea is very calming and relaxing. Also try to get as much rest / sleep as possible.

cazzzie987 · 10/04/2016 13:14

Go to bed early and don't go on your phone or iPad.

georgiecurl · 10/04/2016 13:31

don't drink the night before!

Gillyb0r0 · 10/04/2016 13:32

Strangely I've found leaving the curtains open helps/ Also, like others, I use a silk pillowcase and spend more time on my skincare before bed than I do in the morning. And finally, earplugs to drown out the other half's snoring!

A natural day light alarm clock which gradually wakens you the natural way, prevents scrunched up faces and battering of traditional alarm clocks and allows you to wake up feeling refreshed and bright eyed Grin

I drink 6 bottles of water a day & use an eye cream at night to stop puffy eyes. I also use a lavender plug in which is nice & relaxing for a good night's sleep

vonniebab2 · 10/04/2016 14:20

8 hours sleep with the window open all weathers always works for me!

Pigeonpea · 10/04/2016 14:25

I use eye serum before bed and always sleep with a sleeping mask on, so no matter what time I get woken up by the little one, I can always convince my body to go back to sleep

VelvetGlove · 10/04/2016 14:47

Plenty of fresh water before bed and a cool bedroom always works for me. Of course, it does mean a nighttime trip to the loo more often than not but at least my skin looks fresh and clear each morning!

Simey68 · 10/04/2016 14:51

Always have a really lovely soak before you go to bed

allsorts4444 · 10/04/2016 14:55

Wear an eye mask when sleeping, I always feel refreshed then :)

stefalfie11 · 10/04/2016 15:32

To take off all of your make up and then use a moisturiser before bed - it definitely works for me!

tabbaz123 · 10/04/2016 16:00

Quite simply turn off ALL electronics at least 30 minutes before bed and relax - a much better night sleep is achieved

tiddles12 · 10/04/2016 16:13

plenty of water the day before and i put eye night cream under my eye mask before turning off the light

rachelmi · 10/04/2016 16:32

I have a bottle of water next to the bed. As I usually wake up needing a drink I have found it helps me keep hydrated and allows me to wake up brightly.

Leyanpark · 10/04/2016 16:57

I use This Works Pillow Spray and balm before bed each night. It really helps me get a good nights rest and I wake up feeling refreshed

pennwood · 10/04/2016 17:38

Ensure the bedroom is the correct temperature to promote sleep, & also blackout window dressing is my tip.

vixxx666 · 10/04/2016 18:01

A good quality mattress is key!

julieef · 10/04/2016 18:07

Try and get your full 8 hours, but sadly at the moment I am lucky if I get 6

Ikea1234 · 10/04/2016 18:32

Don't have children?! No, seriously, wind down before bed, make up off and cleanse thoroughly in the morning to help wake you up. Helps lots!

nettymay · 10/04/2016 19:36

I always close my eyes and place pieces of cucumber on lids before bed. Also I bought silk pillow cases and it has made a huge difference - no more puffy eyes

sammylea80 · 10/04/2016 20:28

not using phones or laptops an hour before bed helps with sleep patterns.
