To help celebrate the new Pregnancy Tracker app, sponsored by Persil Non Bio and Comfort Pure - we'd love to hear all about your pregnancy cravings.

The new app guides you through pregnancy week by week, sharing expert info and the experiences of thousands of other women who've been through the same things at each stage.

We all know that pregnancy can make people do some rather strange things - and 90% of pregnant women will experience antenatal cravings. Some can't get enough of one specific food, while others find themselves creating flavour combinations they'd never have dreamed of pre-pregnancy.

From inhaling everything sweet in two seconds flat, to middle of the night munching, or the sudden urge to taste things that aren't even food - what did you crave while waiting for your baby to arrive?

Share your wacky and wonderful pregnancy cravings with us - and help make other pregnant women currently experiencing them feel a little better about their latest hormone-induced feast.

Anyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 voucher for the store of your choice PLUS a month's supply of Persil Non Bio and Comfort Pure!

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

Fortunately I've always known that my iron stores must be running a bit low rather than I'm going completely mad, when I've been pregnant and started to get the strange urge to clean my teeth with soap or the thought of chewing on a soapy sponge sounded good! I got round it by cleaning my teeth with normal toothpaste instead but I ended up cleaning my teeth 6 times some days!
It happened in most of my pregnancies, so as soon as I got the weird craving I just got my iron tested and took supplements to correct it while resisting! I found it quite amusing because it is so bonkers and out of character for me! As soon as my iron balances up, the strange craving just goes away!

I woke up in the middle of the night craving fruit juice. We didn't have any so I opened tins of pineapple and drained the juice!
Didn't realise I was pregnant at the time!

Potato Waffles. Literally so many that I thought the baby was going to be potato waffle shaped. Can't stand them now!

BeeMyBaby · 05/03/2016 07:27

Peanut butter and jam - I thought I'd found the most delicious thing ever, however after having DD1 I realised it was actually gross.

nonnyno · 05/03/2016 08:48

Sainsburys chicken pie and Sainsburys strawberry mouse - don't think either of these are still made. Oh, and Cole Tar Soap, found the smell really appetising but never actually ate it!

HelenSw4les · 05/03/2016 11:54

Beetroot sandwiches; I used to put so much beetroot in them it made my bread red. It's surprising my baby wasn't born a bright shade of purple!

avery64 · 05/03/2016 22:30

Tomato soup. Was never a fan until pregnant. Just couldn't get enough of it down me. Couldn't face even a teaspoon of the stuff now :)

castleton · 05/03/2016 22:54

Curry late at night , which gave me really bad indigestion, but I still wanted it the next night

chunkychocky · 06/03/2016 08:03

I didn't have cravings as such but must have got through my own weight in mints in a bid to get rid of morning sickness.

StandUnderMyUmbrella · 06/03/2016 10:50

I had a thing for my moms rubber mat. I would go to her house, ask for a bath, and just lie there in the bath chomping on her bath mat for hours!
It wasnt long before she noticed the corner fading away!!!!

AutumnElla · 06/03/2016 12:11

Strawberries.. at least it was something healthy!

BelOfTheBall79 · 06/03/2016 12:46

I craved snails so I had to keep going to a resaurant as I could not cook them or get them for myself.

matphil · 06/03/2016 15:48

The only craving I had was for chocolate. I had to have some every day, my husband had to bring some home with him each day.
