To help celebrate the new Pregnancy Tracker app, sponsored by Persil Non Bio and Comfort Pure - we'd love to hear all about your pregnancy cravings.

The new app guides you through pregnancy week by week, sharing expert info and the experiences of thousands of other women who've been through the same things at each stage.

We all know that pregnancy can make people do some rather strange things - and 90% of pregnant women will experience antenatal cravings. Some can't get enough of one specific food, while others find themselves creating flavour combinations they'd never have dreamed of pre-pregnancy.

From inhaling everything sweet in two seconds flat, to middle of the night munching, or the sudden urge to taste things that aren't even food - what did you crave while waiting for your baby to arrive?

Share your wacky and wonderful pregnancy cravings with us - and help make other pregnant women currently experiencing them feel a little better about their latest hormone-induced feast.

Anyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 voucher for the store of your choice PLUS a month's supply of Persil Non Bio and Comfort Pure!

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

Haribo!

My mum used to make up weak custard as a drink when she was pregnant with me Confused. Apparently she was desperate for hot drinks but the thought of tea and coffee made her heave so she resorted to custard!

Slush Puppies. We didn't even have anywhere locally that sold them so it was a sort of unquenchable craving. Drove me batty. I wonder if I was dehydrated?

BreconBeBuggered · 18/02/2016 23:52

Liquorice. Tons of the stuff. But no fizzy drinks, and absolutely nothing microwaved could come near me.
I remember a friend of my mother's going through bags of floral gums, and thinking that would be a nice craving.

Cataline · 18/02/2016 23:58

I had to have ham and pease pudding sandwiches. I'd stop off at the deli each morning and buy two, eating one in the car on the way to work and having the other mid morning!

TooMuchOfEverything · 19/02/2016 09:59

Water. How dull of me! But I suddenly couldn't drink squash as it tasted revolting and still does over a decade later.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I had this intense craving for sponges. Every time I was washing the dishes I would literally salivate at the sight and the thought of the soapy sponge. I was dreaming about buying different types of sponges to feel and see the effect they would have when washing dishes. Weird and wonderful or crazy but somehow they excited me! Luckily I didn't feel like eating them, though! ;)

bobble5366 · 21/02/2016 07:40

tins of grapefruit! the sourer the better, I needed a portion every morning to help with the morning sickness. can't stand this usually. I had a healthy boy though! (but the morning sickness lasted the full term :( )

glenka · 21/02/2016 07:41

Broccoli and the more the better.

TracyKNixon · 21/02/2016 07:48

With my two girls it was anything lomony - lemoncurd, lemon cheese cake, lemon bon bons etc (so all sour!) and with my four boys it was cherry tomatoes on the vine (so all sweet!)

boo36 · 21/02/2016 07:54

Satsumas ate one after the other while I was pregnant!

ladymadonna1 · 21/02/2016 08:08

I am craving pears in this pregnancy, which is very strange, as I haven't eaten them in approximately 20 years. My mother gave me too many pears as a child and put me off them for life... until now :-/ The body and mind work in mysterious ways!

happysouls · 21/02/2016 08:08

mmmm wine gums, sherbet lemons, beef pies! I put on soooooo much weight! I was hungry all the time.

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 21/02/2016 08:12

I used to eat a Magnum everyday during my first pg, but that wasn't a craving, that was just because I could!

But one day I did suddenly have a random urge for vinegar. I downed a sherry glass full of white wine vinegar in one.

maryandbuzz1 · 21/02/2016 08:17

My only craving was digestive biscuits.

pusinky · 21/02/2016 08:18

I craved gherkins and salt and vinegar crisps.

jt75 · 21/02/2016 08:22

Nothing crazy. Just oranges.

OhHolyFuck · 21/02/2016 08:25

With ds1 it was cereal and full fat milk, cheese and yoghurt
No real cravings with ds2 but developed an aversion to raw chicken, hate touching it or seeing it even to this day, used to retch in the supermarket because I knew it was nearby

yatota74 · 21/02/2016 08:29

I didn't really have proper cravings as such although I suddenly did eat loads of snickers icecream with my DD1 but no cravings with the twins I was just eating constantly.

Mummageddon · 21/02/2016 08:35

Packets of crispy bacon from the supermarket. I can easily eat a pack in one go, unfortunately we don't have any this morning (grumble, grumble).
I also had to go cold turkey on the coke/diet coke in January as I was drinking a couple of cans a day when the nausea was bad.
Other things I've had are lime cordial, lime doritos with salsa, and fizzy sour jelly sweets.

Fiftyfivepercent · 21/02/2016 08:37

When I was pregnant I ate whole lemons :-s

AnnaGrant · 21/02/2016 08:51

WIth my first two I craved really lovely food - steak and orange juice with my first (turns out I was iron-deficient, bodies are so clever!), and smoked salmon and cream cheese with my second. But my thirs...I craved chicken flavour supernoodles the entire pregnancy. I should have known she was trouble!

liamell · 21/02/2016 08:54

The only food I craved was Cheese and Onion sandwiches......BUT

I used to have to carry a tester pot of paint around in my bag and smell it once a day. I have no idea why!

silviam · 21/02/2016 08:59

Fried gherkins..ough!
