When i was a kid we hada hamster called chica who was like houdini one year she got out the house in her ball and was found stuck on the beach near our house

Tinker15 · 12/12/2015 07:52

Whilst we were sleeping our cheeky dog managed to get every single piece of chocolate off the Christmas tree that was positioned next to a chair. She was so good at what she did that some of the wrappers looked as if they were still complete.

Hevster78 · 12/12/2015 08:15

Not so much at Christmas, but our cat when missing in June after moving house - we got a phone call from a vets a few miles away around the 22nd Dec to say he had been found :) It was lovely to have him home for Christmas!

christinelucey · 12/12/2015 08:54

My cat jumped up on the table and dragged the turkey off the table and on to the floor needless to say as I had friends coming to dinner I had to wash it down and use it but decided not to tell anybody

Sallyannlloydjones · 12/12/2015 08:56

Our family dog liked pulling presents from under the tree and leaving so we tripped over them!

jt75 · 12/12/2015 08:58

Our puppy got into the living room and ate the mince pie left for Santa.

pixies13 · 12/12/2015 09:05

the cats destroyed the tree and attacked some presents under the tree

RiSo · 12/12/2015 09:19

We have 2 kittens and oh my god, kittens and Christmas trees do not mix! They were in the tree before it was even decorated, and they have pulled all the baubles, tinsel and lights off i don't know how many times. One of them sits on the branches and chews it. If it wasn't for the kids I would have taken it down by now!

maryandbuzz1 · 12/12/2015 09:21

My dog, STANLEY was annoyed that he wasn't getting any attention whilst we opened presents. He went outside and came in coated in wet mud. Before I had the chance to get to him he had jumped onto the sofa and shook wet mud all over the living room!

EmNix · 12/12/2015 09:21

Our dog burying itself under the presents searching and opening anything edible or squeeky. Everyone had presents with teeth marks!

jenniwren12 · 12/12/2015 09:22

We put the mince pie, milk and carrot out for santa and took our 2 excited kids to bed.
When we came down the milk was gone and so was the mince pie, foil case and all and our English Bull Terrier was licking her lips!

tiameg · 12/12/2015 09:35

Last year when I popped out to the shops - my 3 dogs opened all edible Christmas presents from under the tree and ate the lot! Greedy hounds. To add insult to injury, my largest dog was walking around with a lovely cashmere jumper in it's mouth (which it had clearely already tried to bury in the mud first) :)

janeyf1 · 12/12/2015 09:48

Our cat tried to follow us all the way to school which is a mile away from home. I had to walk him back home

amble · 12/12/2015 09:59

my dog must have enjoyed a tipple over xmas she ate a box of brandy liqueurs & unwrapped and opened a bottle of sherry

lizd31 · 12/12/2015 09:59

Charlie Cat loves it when I trim up for Christmas. He follows me around & pulls down the tinsel as I put it up. I have to give up in the end as it always ends up around his neck with him running around the lounge trimmed up like a Christmas tree

BizziLiz · 12/12/2015 10:14

The children still talk wistfully of when the dog ate the tinsel off the tree and left sparkly poo all over the garden... they ask every year if we can do it again!

shellywkd · 12/12/2015 10:22

We had a hamster that got out once on Xmas eve was fun trying to find him as there were droppings upstairs but we found him downstairs exhausted what a night he had the stairs must have worn him out.

sweetsomethings · 12/12/2015 10:47

my cat bringing in a dead mouse when we were eating xmas dinner

jodiecrossley1 · 12/12/2015 11:37

my cat climbed all the way up the tree and broke lots of my favourite decorations then when i came in the room she jumped up to get my food on my plate!

createbeauty · 12/12/2015 11:43

The dog has knocked over the Christmas tree a couple of times. Otherwise, he's not too bad.

thekiwibex · 12/12/2015 11:56

We've only had two Christmases with our sweet kitty, so probably her cheekiest moment was when we tried to dress her in a Santa costume and she took all of 12 seconds to get sick of it!

robbo86otm · 12/12/2015 12:18

We were having an xmas party when we heard some noise outside, it turned out it was a women who has been beaten up and my mum ended up going to hospital with her. This ended the party, me and my brother went to a neighbours house until my mum returned. We had a doberman pincher and when the party ended suddenly nobody thought to close any doors in the house. The dog had free reign to the buffet food which was availble for the party and made the most of the situation eating until she was full. When we returned to the house we found the dog who could hardly move as she had eaten so much and her stomach was about twice the size of normal. My mum ended up filling a hot water bottle to put against the dogs stomach to try to help it go down. The dog was back to normal after a couple of days and would still steal food whenever she got a chance

cazzzie987 · 12/12/2015 12:45

My cats broke into the fridge and cupboard and ate all the cheese and crisps.

hazelangell · 12/12/2015 12:57

We once caught the cat LICKING the Turkey fresh out of the oven!! We didn't tell the guests, we just sliced that piece off and let the cat have it, it could have been a lot worse so we just laughed about it.

sofieellis · 12/12/2015 13:13

I once walked into the living room to find that several presents had been opened and the dog was sat amongst a huge pile of half chewed treats! Thankfully, they were all her own presents though - she had ignored all the human presents and sniffed out her own - she was a very clever girl!
