With Cadbury launching their biggest ever advent calendar, Cadbury would like to know which moment over the festive period your DCs are most excited about.

Here's what they say "This year we’re launching Cadbury’s biggest ever advent calendar and setting out to bring even more joy to the countdown this Christmas. 24 trucks, 24 doors, opening daily in 24 different locations, we’re ringing joyful festive surprises to the nation on the countdown to Christmas. While we’re counting down, we’re also keen to hear from Mumsnetters about which festive moment your kids can't wait for"

Find out about the Cadbury advent calendar by watching the video below:

So which festive moment are your DCs most excited about? You might be thrilled at the prospect of some time relaxing at home with your family, but if you asked your children - what would their response be? Perhaps they're dying to decorate the Christmas tree? Or take centre stage at their school nativity play? We're looking for the moments and treats that make Christmas for them, alongside the thrillingness of ripping wrapping off (lots of) presents.

Whichever festive moment your DCs can't wait for, Cadbury would love to hear about it.

Everyone who posts a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

cathyov · 15/12/2015 19:05

That magical moment when they wake up and find out whether Father Christmas has been :)

glmcall123 · 15/12/2015 19:44

Mine are so excited about getting up on Christmas day to see if Santa's been. They love the build up to the big day as well,by Christmas Eve they're almost in a frenzy.Xmas Grin

DS (7) is most excited about staying at his grandmothers on Christmas Eve and opening presents there. My dad passed away late last year and he didn't want her to be on her own.

Opening their advent calendars

It's just gotta be the present opening, for both LOs and the onlooking bigger ones. There's something magical about going to sleep on Christmas Eve knowing that a mythical being is going to come and leave gifts in the ever-so-slightly scary darkness.
However, a Christmas moment that comes a close second for me is seeing them screw up their faces when eating the brussels sprouts around the Christmas table, priceless Grin

krnries · 15/12/2015 21:43

My girls are very excited about opening their presents :)

Shockers · 15/12/2015 21:47

The two teens are most excited that their big brother is coming home! We spend Christmas Day hiking up a local hill (very first thing), eating and playing LOTS of games. It's lovely!

hpsauce84 · 15/12/2015 22:37

My 3 year old daughter was most excited about putting up the tree and meeting Santa. Now we've done those, she's on the countdown to Christmas Eve and hopes to have some presents delivered!

Tonkatol · 15/12/2015 23:32

My 9 year old daughter announced today that she can't wait for her older sister to come home from university for Christmas - the only thing is I'm fairly sure that will change once she gets told off!

tishist · 16/12/2015 01:17

we don't celebrate xmas so nothing to report!

jamielmdjs · 16/12/2015 01:29

opening the presents after santa has been

Goldenhandshake · 16/12/2015 11:49

Making a gingerbread house Christmas eve, also, during bath time on Xmas eve, the 'elves' knock on the door and leave a parcel of new pyjama's, a Christmas book and Christmas dvd especially for winding down on Christmas eve. Grin It's a very exciting bath time.

Generation1979 · 16/12/2015 16:28

Mine love their Lego advent calendars but it the Christmas eve preparations like the Santa plate, reindeer food and sticking Santa stop here signs that make it.

Eva50 · 16/12/2015 21:03

Ds3 is most excited about trying to stay awake so that he can see Santa!

gingercat12 · 21/12/2015 11:31

It appears DS most eagerly awaited our Christmas dinner at home, which for various reasons we held yesterday. He totally volunteered to sit down at the dinner table, demanded his crackers and posh serviettes, put his hat on from the crackers and read out his (rather bad) jokes. He was positively beaming.

I would have said that he mostly waits for Santa, but it seems he just wants the warmth of Christmas.

Rigbyroo · 21/12/2015 14:24

Seeing the space station fly over, it was really magical last year.
