With Cadbury launching their biggest ever advent calendar, Cadbury would like to know which moment over the festive period your DCs are most excited about.

Here's what they say "This year we’re launching Cadbury’s biggest ever advent calendar and setting out to bring even more joy to the countdown this Christmas. 24 trucks, 24 doors, opening daily in 24 different locations, we’re ringing joyful festive surprises to the nation on the countdown to Christmas. While we’re counting down, we’re also keen to hear from Mumsnetters about which festive moment your kids can't wait for"

Find out about the Cadbury advent calendar by watching the video below:

So which festive moment are your DCs most excited about? You might be thrilled at the prospect of some time relaxing at home with your family, but if you asked your children - what would their response be? Perhaps they're dying to decorate the Christmas tree? Or take centre stage at their school nativity play? We're looking for the moments and treats that make Christmas for them, alongside the thrillingness of ripping wrapping off (lots of) presents.

Whichever festive moment your DCs can't wait for, Cadbury would love to hear about it.

Everyone who posts a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

I filled in the survey on this thread but please could MNHQ ensure it's withdrawn because fuck you Cadbury for paying no tax. My DP and I paid huge amounts of tax while he was chronically ill and it was financially crippling. The fact we did this while Cadbury paid fuck all makes me very angry.

If you didn't get the message Cadbury? Here it is again:

FUCK YOU

Christmas seems to send my two into a frenzy. There are separate pleas for a tree and whilst it's a touch early for us I think we are about to give in. Also the eldest is very firm that we MUST have outside lights this year. I'm vetoing coloured light. White lights if any ! We can't wait for Christmas.

My little girl has been asking for an In The Night Garden Ninky Nonk since october - every night before bed. I would say she is most looking forward to visiting Santa and his visit to us on Christmas Eve. She also enjoyed decorating our trees (1 main and 2 minis)

We are looking forward to going out with friends for a Christmas lunch. No cooking for me!

On Christmas day my brother in law dresses up as santa and delivers all the sacks of presents to the kids and family. I think this is what they look forward to most

My 3 yo has been "giving the Christmas cake it's medicine" (brandy) for the past month. Before she helps to ice it and eat it, I'm swapping it for a non alcohol laced one and keeping the fed cake for the grown ups!

Mine absolutely loves Christmas. It is impossible not to get into the spirit of things with him around. His favourite part is waiting for Father Christmas to come down the street in his float. The rotary club do this every year and he loves it. I think in his mind it is the start of Christmas when that happens.

Cybertinker · 07/12/2015 19:42

When my little girl opens her presents on Xmas morning. She thinks Santa has a key to unlock the Chimney which is blocked up; to deliver her presents! Can't wait to see how excited she is!

We have a couple of exciting things happening. My husband is in the military and has been away for months and although due back a week before christmas he won't actually be getting to our home until xmas day itself due to various things he has to do first. So my children are very excited about that more than anything else. Also, i all they have talked about is the big xmas house i've made out of cardboard which is covered in cotton wool etc and has lots of little 99p presents inside for game prizes etc on the day. They haven't even considered they might be getting big presents and are just focused on this house sitting on the side in my kitchen. Always peering into it etc asking how soon before they can put their hand in and pick one.

My kids are excited at the prospect of eating sweets for breakfast!

Joan049 · 07/12/2015 22:02

Mine are grown up now but it was always Christmas Eve just before bedtime. It was a tradition in our house not to decorate the tree until Christmas Eve and I remember as a child how the anticipation and excitement grew as the evening progressed.

compy99 · 08/12/2015 08:07

I like the family all arriving and making coffee and mince pies knowing that the festivities are all ahead of us!

DS loves wrapping up gifts, in fact he loves it so much that he's gotten good at it. His other love during Christmas time is baking. Unfortunately, the batter usually ends up on the wall as he always makes a silly mistake haha. Gotta love him for his commitment though.

southernsun · 08/12/2015 09:58

We put our tree up on the first of December and the look on our 2 boys faces where magical. Our 18 month old was amazed by all the shapes and colours while our 6 year old loved the artistic side of decorating the tree. They are both excited about visiting Santa this weekend now.

kslatts · 08/12/2015 10:57

My dc's are really excited about making stockings out of pillow cases, they have made one every year.

Wjjkl · 08/12/2015 16:02

Seeing all the Christmas lights and decorating the tree!

Dolallytats · 08/12/2015 19:01

My 7 year old is looking forward to the presents and everyone playing with him. My 2 year old is having a great time with everything!! She loves the tree and lights, the advent calendar and candle and she talks about Father Christmas. Don't think she understands the pressie bit though, so that should be exciting!!

My 22 year old is looking forward to her son's first Christmas.

juju3 · 08/12/2015 20:44

Has to be the presents - same every year

MAT12 · 08/12/2015 21:27

Without fail they are excited to open their presents. Even my eldest two who are in their late teens still look forward to a few surprise gifts

Mouseface · 09/12/2015 02:01

My DS is 6 and disabled so has only really understood what Christmas means in this last year or so.... He also goes to a C of E school, so they always perform a short nativity service in Church for the parents, the week before they finish for the holidays.

It's a mainstream little village school, so everyone knows him, and they all wait to see and hear him say his lines. That's our Christmas :)

Lovewhereilive · 09/12/2015 07:30

Ds3 is loving the elf on the shelf. All 3 loving decs going up and playing Christmas songs.

Dorsetmama · 09/12/2015 10:09

Mine were most excited about decorating and buying the tree. They absolutely loved it this year, we did it all just yesterday. We went to buy the tree after school, we all got a hot chocolate, chose the tree whilst drinking it, all warm with smiles on their faces. Had a lovely chat with the man who helped us with the tree-he remembered my family from last year abd commented on how my boys had grown. Then we got a taxi home, which they giggle at the driver trying to fit the tree in. When we get back, they run to change clothes and jump up and down at the box of decorations waiting for them. I let them do the tree by themselves whilst i do the high up stuff. I put the tree lights and tinsel on, whilst they decorate their bedrooms.
We eat a finger food dinner buffet style, then sit and admire the tree before they go to bed.
