With Cadbury launching their biggest ever advent calendar, Cadbury would like to know which moment over the festive period your DCs are most excited about.

Here's what they say "This year we’re launching Cadbury’s biggest ever advent calendar and setting out to bring even more joy to the countdown this Christmas. 24 trucks, 24 doors, opening daily in 24 different locations, we’re ringing joyful festive surprises to the nation on the countdown to Christmas. While we’re counting down, we’re also keen to hear from Mumsnetters about which festive moment your kids can't wait for"

Find out about the Cadbury advent calendar by watching the video below:

So which festive moment are your DCs most excited about? You might be thrilled at the prospect of some time relaxing at home with your family, but if you asked your children - what would their response be? Perhaps they're dying to decorate the Christmas tree? Or take centre stage at their school nativity play? We're looking for the moments and treats that make Christmas for them, alongside the thrillingness of ripping wrapping off (lots of) presents.

Whichever festive moment your DCs can't wait for, Cadbury would love to hear about it.

Everyone who posts a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

Having their older sibling back from University (1st year) for more than just a weekend visit!

We are all really excited for Christmas this year. We're in a new home, after living in a really horrible damp place and so much happier. We are making new traditions this year with the fresh start.

I've asked my children and these are the things they are excited about:

my four year old: "dressing up as Santa and a Snowman at school"

my nine year old: "all of it!"

my fifteen year old: "the presents" (typical!)

opening their presents on christmas morning

Watching the snowman film it's what I watched as a child and they love to watch it with me x

Father Christmas coming! He's 7 but still believes the magic! It's adorable.

We3KingyOfOblomovAre · 10/12/2015 06:51

Ds2(7) likes the LED tree going up, and a particular toy that sings jingle bells is his absolute fave.

But more than anything he loves his advent calendar. Every day, He jumps out of bed and runs down to it, first thing!

I think our children like their Advent Calendars best - chocolate before school only happens in December. They are all too old for nativity plays & visiting Father Christmas.

This is now my son's 4th Christmas and he was looking forward the most to seeing the lights on the Christmas tree! I have lovely photo's of him from last year just staring in awe at the twinkling lights. So this year, I got him some lights for his room and some for the window, too so there was a bit more sparkle about the house! He loves them all and is the one to switch the lights on at the wall as soon as the light outside starts to fade! I'm really looking forward to this Christmas as it's the first year we've had some proper money to spend on some great presents for my little boy! And he's at the age where he's starting to pick up on the festive mood. He was dancing along to Christmas music at Nursery the other day! Hehe

My 2 can't wait for their bath on Christmas Eve, as that is when the Elves sneak in and leave new Christmas pjs on their beds! They then dare to hope that Santa will definitely be coming.

Danso · 10/12/2015 21:02

All three of mine love putting up the Christmas tree and the Christmas decorations together. Sometimes a bit too enthousiastic.............!

Kelloges0811 · 10/12/2015 21:55

My little ones were so excited to be putting our Christmas tree up and decorating it. They love adding their homemade crafts and our 'Angels' on it to remind us all of our loved ones in heaven. They are really excited each morning to find out what mischief our 'elf on the shelf' has been up to or what arts and crafts or treats he has left them. As a family we are so looking forward to our Santa Claus tram ride and our family stay with extended family and friends at Gullivers World x

my kids just cant wait until christmas eve and they know 1 more sleep and its here! gotta love them! :)

DaisyDando · 11/12/2015 09:47

We can't wait to watch It's A Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve with hot chocolate, and later, mulled wine.
(Then some panic packing when anyone under 18 is asleep.)

MotherMarshall · 11/12/2015 11:20

My 3 year old is SO excited for 'Christmas Eve'. He keeps telling me that he will meet Santa and see his reindeer's. Plus our Xmas eve tradition is Hot Chocolate and marshmallows (in our PJ's) and we all open a present from 'Mum and Dad' on Xmas eve too. I know that's a little naughty but it's a family tradition so he is very excited about that.

He is SO excited about it that I think he's actually forgotten he will have enough presents to open on Christmas Day to keep him going until Boxing Day!

strawberrisc · 11/12/2015 11:33

My daughter is obsessed with her advent calendar! After that comes unwrapping her presents. This doesn't mean she's spoiled - it was always my favourite part as I thought as a child as well. Now I'm an adult and look back I realise that all the other traditions such as putting out the mince pies and squabbing over a board game after a traditional Christmas dinner make me feel so happy.

loosechange · 11/12/2015 11:43

Realistically - opening presents on Christmas Day! They love putting up the tree and decorating the house, but nothing beats Christmas morning.

cheryl100 · 11/12/2015 12:59

We 'wrap' the lounge door with Christmas paper so he has to burst through it to get to his pressies - he loves it!

FlukeSkyeRunner · 11/12/2015 14:14

Our tradition is to all have breakfast in the dining room together, then we all go into the lounge where the kids presents will be waiting for them. DD1 is very excited about this moment! DD2 doesn't remember Christmas from last year so has no idea what to look forward to!

HelenSw4les · 11/12/2015 16:33

A trip to the pantomime, it's Sleeping Beauty this year and we're so happy about that.

Prettyinblue · 11/12/2015 17:42

Mine are obsessed about the Xmas tree unfortunately it is going to be the same one that is 'living' (just) in the garden. We may need to decorate it a lot!
