Warner Brothers have asked us to find out what Mumsnetters and their DCs think of the trailer for the upcoming movie Pan, releasing in Cinemas on October 16th.

Here's what Warner Brothers have to say, "Peter (Levi Miller) is a mischievous 12-year-old boy with an irrepressible rebellious streak, but in the bleak London orphanage where he has lived his whole life those qualities do not exactly fly. Then one incredible night, Peter is whisked away from the orphanage and spirited off to a fantastical world of pirates, warriors and fairies called Neverland. There, he finds amazing adventures and fights life-or-death battles while trying to uncover the secret of his mother, who left him at the orphanage so long ago, and his rightful place in this magical land. Teamed with the warrior Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara) and a new friend named James Hook (Garrett Hedlund), Peter must defeat the ruthless pirate Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman) to save Neverland and discover his true destiny—to become the hero who will forever be known as Peter Pan. We'd love to know Mumsnetters' thoughts on the trailer.”

You can watch the trailer here:

So what did you think of the trailer? What are your thoughts on the characters? What about your DCs? Would you see it in 3D? Which part of the trailer did you like the most? Do you think you’ll be likely to take your DCs to see the film when it’s released?

Whatever your thoughts, Warner Brothers would love to hear about them!

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

Looks great I think it will be a real hit with both boys and girls! My middle son is 3.5 so think he maybe too young but think would look great on the big screen and would make a brillant summer holiday day out x

For me, nothing will ever match up to the original Disney cartoon, but my son, who has never shown any interest in any version of Peter Pan was transfixed by the trailer and is desperate to see the film now

Nice to see a prequel....I do think Peter Pan has been done to death but have often wondered how he ended up there.

It looks magical! Harry Potter like in style but that's a good thing. Great cast, I'd like to see it, I think it'll be a hit! I'm not worried about 3D though.

Could be interesting for the dark fantasy element

Looks fab! Will.be taking DH on a cinema date I think!

I liked the trailer, looks really good with fantastic graphics, little ones should go a bundle on it, so we'll probably go. Plenty of adventure and intrigue should even keep the older ones entertained too Grin
It's amazing that CGI has come on in leaps and bounds since we were young. Must say gotta love the outrageous headgear, not sure it'll catch on though, even if the film does reach Potter levels of fame!

My kids are quite sensitive so this movie looks too scary for them. (They're younger than 8.) The cast is mostly adults, and they prefer watching children-based stories. The trailer itself is quite dark and aggressive, although the voiceover at the beginning makes it seem much more gentle than what the images show.

Wow what an exciting looking trailer for what seems to be a Peter Pan prequel! I watched it with my 7, 6, and 4 year olds and they all had different reactions. My 6 year old son immediately picked up on the fact that it was based around Peter Pan, we as a family absolutely love the original film. He particularly loved the look of the giant crocodile jumping over the boat! I personally thought that the entire film looked amazing, quite dark, although the original Peter Pan was quite dark in places too, the special effects look fantastic and make this a really modern and exciting film. My 4 year olds eyes filled with tears, I think it was all a bit too much for her, even though she said she loved the fact that there were mermaids and that her eyes were full of happy tears! My 7 year old daughter can't wait to see the film, just like me and I think my 6 year old son will love it too. It looks like a wonderful fantasy adventure film that will provide an intriguing insight into the backstory of the Peter Pan story we all know and love. Plus anything from the Harry Potter team is designed to WOW! I'll be first in the queue on release day! Xxx

It looks stunningly beautiful, love the fairies lights and the mermaids are gorgeous.
I don't like 3d but dh would love it. Toddler is too little to follow the storyline but I would definitely take a 6-7 year old.

Old Croc was the best part of the trailer
