The National Lottery would like to know who you would like to pay tribute to on Mother's Day.

Working with the charity Home-Start, The National Lottery gave one incredible Mum the surprise of a life time to thank her for the difference she’s made to so many.

Watch the video below or click here to watch it.

So we want to ask you, is there someone special that you’d like to thank on Mother’s Day? It may, of course, be your own Mum, it could be an aunt or a neighbour. Whoever it is, we’d love to hear a bit about what made them so special to you Smile.

Everyone who adds their thoughts to this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

my mum of course, as she's put up with me for all these years

Anj123 · 17/03/2015 15:47

My mum even though I lost her 28 years ago when I was at school, I still think of her every day.

Kangakate · 17/03/2015 18:50

My sister, she's been such a great support as I venture into motherhood, with advice and a shoulder

Kathderoet · 17/03/2015 19:56

My own Mum who has been there for me all my life, is there for my children and also cared for my Dad who had Alzheimer's. She does it all with a smile on her face and puts me to shame with her enthusiasm for life at almost 80.

My mum who also helps me through my difficulties.

jandoc · 17/03/2015 20:44

I would like to thank all the mothers out there who do a great job with their kids!

My mum taught me to make sublime chicken soup- the way her Mum taught her.
Unfortunately our daughter is veggie, LOL!

peanutmum111 · 17/03/2015 22:56

My own mothers was difficult and never gave out love in any form, it was all about her !!
I would nominate my 'daughter' who has helped me like a mother to get through the difficult moments of my life.
LOVE is unconditional, and she has plenty to give to others. At the moment she is helping a young teenagers whose Nan has just died, hard with Mothers Day making others happy.
I LOVE her

sealight123 · 18/03/2015 08:46

My mum! She is my inspiration. She has brought me and my sisters up, whilst working full-time and studying at University at the same time. She is hard working and dedicated and I love her :)

My mum is so special, she works so hard she puts me to shame, always gardening or knitting some amazinf creations, but most of all my mum is a great support and a good friend :)

Dessallara · 18/03/2015 12:13

My partners nanny. When we had our baby she was the only person who told us that we are doing very well in taking care of our little girl and never made us feel bad about anything, not like everyone else who thought they know everything much better than we do. Would thank her for making me feel a better mummy everytime she was around.. Sadly, she died just few weeks before mothers day..

I would love to thank my Mother-in-Law. She's a really wonderful, generous person who has been a huge help to my husband and I as we've raised our little family.

lindat4683 · 18/03/2015 18:13

My husband as we have stuck together through thick or thin

cheryl100 · 18/03/2015 18:42

My Mum is amazing, funny and crazy. Most of all, she always offers me the best advice and I can't make major decisions without her input! :)

My grandma passed away last year, and with the approach of Mother's Day she has been very much in my thoughts for having been such a remarkable woman, and someone who has had such a huge influence on so many of the family's lives. Even in her nineties she played a huge role in the life of her sons, daghters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a huge source of support, always open minded, and the first person I would call to share good news with. When I look back on her life, she shows an incredible example to us all; despite the diffulcties of the times, she soldiered on, never complaining, far from it, she always considered herself lucky, particulary to have a family that loved and cherished her. Her family was her greatest pride, and I hope we all live up to the incredible example she showed to us and that we will all live lives that will make her proud. She might not be here phyically to thank, but I still believe she's around for us all somehow, and if there's ever someone to say thank you to then it's my grandma. Thanks you. xx

kpdchudleigh · 18/03/2015 20:54

I'd pay tribute to my amazing friends who more than make up for my lack of any extended family. They're always there for me and walk that extra mile to make me feel special and looked after.

topsy73 · 18/03/2015 21:17

my mum for providing support for me and guidance in how I bring my little boy up

lucyrobinson · 18/03/2015 21:59

ellie17 · 18/03/2015 22:02

claza93 · 19/03/2015 06:37

My own mum and my mother in law who do so much to help us out! We have four kids that they give so much love and energy to! With their help I'm able to work and bring in some much needed income. They are always on hand to help out so we can have some time on our own. We are very lucky!

3ismylot · 19/03/2015 07:41

Definitely my Mum
She was only 16 when she fell pregnant with me and knew her Dad would force her into a termination so she concealed the pregnacy until it was too late, he made her have me adopted but I tracked her down as an adult and now we are very close and she has never been anything but honest, loving and caring and Im thankful every day for her x
