The National Lottery would like to know who you would like to pay tribute to on Mother's Day.

Working with the charity Home-Start, The National Lottery gave one incredible Mum the surprise of a life time to thank her for the difference she’s made to so many.

Watch the video below or click here to watch it.

So we want to ask you, is there someone special that you’d like to thank on Mother’s Day? It may, of course, be your own Mum, it could be an aunt or a neighbour. Whoever it is, we’d love to hear a bit about what made them so special to you Smile.

Everyone who adds their thoughts to this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

My lovely daughter who has supported me since the death of my son, I could not go on without her.

flamingtoaster · 15/03/2015 15:20

My Mum - sadly she is no longer with us. She gave me a wonderful childhood full of love and laughter and her example taught me how to try to be a good mother to my children.

My own mum for so many different things she has done for me.

Its Mothers Day evening and we've just got back from a fantastic day out with my Mum and Mother in law, we had a meal and we exchanged flowers. I would like to thank my Mum dearly, she is my entire world, she has a beautiful heart, she devotes her time to making sure we're all happy, she is completely selfless, has taught me how to be a Mum and in turn I've been blessed with 2 sons who adore me just as much.

My mum for being there for me whenever I need her :-)

Mistyblue01 · 15/03/2015 19:14

The guy who was my boss when I worked at the local corner shop. On my own with 5 children, I had my fair share of problems and hard times but even now, 11 years after leaving his employ, he is always there for me if I need a hug or a laugh or bailing out.

Minnibix · 15/03/2015 20:04

I would like to say a thank you to my big sister, she has always been a calming influence on me, love her to bits

savemefromrickets · 15/03/2015 20:07

My friend Carol. She has supported me through PND and breast cancer, despite her own ill health. Her mum and dad both died at this time of year so it's very hard on her. I'd love to be able to put a smile on her face and encourage her to take her children away to make some new, happy memories.

freefan · 15/03/2015 20:36

I would like to thank all 5 of my children who have made me smile through a very hard difficult 13 months and have been my reason to keep going when at times it was unbearable to do so,

Lariflete · 15/03/2015 20:51

My mum - not for being my mum per se, but for being a carer for my Grandma and Grandad. She puts them first at all times and drives for hours to them when they need her and she is away. She is who I model my behaviour of how to treat people on as she is such a giving person.

HappySunflower · 15/03/2015 21:25

I'd really like to thank T, someone who I work with. She is utterly lovely, friendly and supportive and the very first person to notice if somebody isn't themself or is having a hard time.
I've literally NEVER seen her without a smile.

I'm a single parent and have been having a particularly hard time lately.T has made such a difference to my days simply by offering me a cup of tea or asking me how I am and suggesting we catch up at lunchtime. She's great!

babba2014 · 15/03/2015 22:51

I would like to pay tribute to my mum. Ever since I've known her, my mother is always doing things for people. She always has a small gift for people she knows (even if they come over to her place!) but I noticed she never spends much on herself, only the basics. I know she has likes and I always wish to fulfil them but sadly I can't. Even then, my mum is always here for me, my siblings, our children and anyone who comes to her.

She has helped me a lot when my baby was born and after despite being unwell herself and her mother being unwell (where she has spent a lot of time being by her side). My mum always has time for everyone. I don't know how she does it but I do try to be like her but I've got a long way to go till I even get a bit close to her way of life.

Love you mama

AnimalAddict · 16/03/2015 03:02

I would love to thank my lovely mum Jan. She's always putting others before herself, always there with kind words and a big hug. She's forever putting smiles on peoples face and making them feel better. :) xx

funkyfish586 · 16/03/2015 08:50

I am estranged from my own mother unfortunately so I would thank my lovely nan for stepping in to that role. She has always been there for me, never judged me & always tried to just give me the best advice she can. I owe the way I parent my own little ones to that way she is.

mumsbe · 16/03/2015 11:26

My nanna who sadly passed away 9 years ago looked after me because my mum suffered from depression.

With out my nanna I would have had no one to guide me through a difficult childhood

marymanc · 16/03/2015 11:35

My mum and my grandma. They are both in Italy and I miss them. They are very generous and kind and keep looking after children and grandchildren with lots of love.

JeffTheGodOfBiscuits · 16/03/2015 12:07

My mother in law, who is a wonderful mother to her own children, a wonderful grandmother and a wonderful substitute mother to me. I adore her as do all her family, and well deserved it is too.
