To celebrate the launch of the new Vodafone family price plan - Red+ - we have developed a new fun quiz to find out what kind of sharent you are!

What’s a sharent we hear you say…well it’s all about your attitude to sharing photos and updates of your DC online. Are you shary-savvy, a Shary Mary, shary-wary – or totes off the grid?
Take the short quiz now to find out

Vodafone say “For some parents, the internet can seem like a bit of minefield and with new technology emerging all the time, it can be hard to stay up to date. If that sounds like you, worry not. Vodafone has put together some guides and articles to help parents maintain control and keep the family safe – find out more here
Vodafone has also launched a new plan, designed specifically for families. Red+ gives you one data allowance to share and you can even cap your kids’ data so they don't go over their limit. You'll get one simple bill for all devices, saving you money compared to individual plans, and you'll also get unlimited calls and texts”

Find out more at vodafone.co.uk/redplus.

Please take a few minutes to do the quiz and return to this thread to post your sharenting result – let Vodafone know on this thread what it is and what you think and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £250 John Lewis voucher.

The Vodafone Digital Parenting Guide can be found here: www.vodafone.co.uk/family

Thanks and good luck

You are share-savvy

Whilst you’re not adverse to a bit of online boasting, you remain a leetle bit sceptical about sharing too much. In fact, you pride yourself on being pretty up-to-the-minute with your online safety knowledge, and you make sure you pass this on to your kids.

Very accurate for me - I work online so am quite up to date on 'checking up' on the kids, but they know that they will lose all privelages if they do something they shouldn't

ShyPhilosopher · 28/08/2014 00:59

Apparently I am: share-savvy, which does sound about right. I don't mind sharing certain aspects of my life online, but very cautious when it comes to my kids.

libra101 · 28/08/2014 07:17

Have done the quiz and found in interesting.

Definitely not a sharymary ...

vincenta · 28/08/2014 10:27

You are share-savvy :) That's true!

kep1979 · 28/08/2014 12:29

"Off the grid"

I definitely filter what is out there in cyberspace both of me and my children.

cadencealex · 28/08/2014 15:50

You are share-y wary

Which is absolutely not true, the quiz could have been made better in my opinion.

Nydj · 28/08/2014 17:08

Share savvy - yay!

reggaeliz · 28/08/2014 17:25

share-savvy

SarahSnail · 28/08/2014 19:09

You are off the grid

Social sharing? If people want to hear your family's news they can call you. On your land-line.

This is fine by me!!!
I phone my family and friends to tell them what I want to, I don't feel the need to share to everyone x

Flickabella · 28/08/2014 19:37

I am share-savvy, I do love a moderated sharing of photos!!!

wef1984 · 28/08/2014 19:49

You are share-y wary

I don't share my entire life on social media but I do like to share achievements and milestones.

Floralnomad · 28/08/2014 20:15

I'm 'off the grid' ,which is fine ,I don't do putting my life on the Internet - that said I have computer savvy DC and no limits on screen time or Internet .

matphil · 28/08/2014 20:21

What is your sharenting style?

You are off the grid

I didn't think I was that bad.

lilrahi · 29/08/2014 00:24

I'm share-savvy apparently. I do like to put of pics of my kids doing/being cute, but on on FB where my settings are private

Annbunce · 29/08/2014 07:23

I'm a Share-y Mary - not sure if that's a good thing x

hesthersweet · 29/08/2014 08:15

Surcare is the leading brand for senstive skin and it has nothing to ittrate the skin its better than nobiological......Sainsburys do the larglest box.....also you can buy the softner product in.this range...

chickensandbees · 29/08/2014 08:21

Share-savvy

This surprises me really as I'm not on facebook and never post photos on line. But I hope I keep up with them as they get older. Only 3 & 5 at the moment.

Jims · 29/08/2014 08:54

Share-savvy.

I'm used to post more pics when the kids were babies but am becoming more aware that they might not want their lives documented on my facebook page.

Snog · 29/08/2014 08:59

Off the grid Hmm
Time for change or I will become out of touch!!!

Gill81uk · 29/08/2014 09:16

You are share-y wary

This probably sums me up perfectly. I like to take pics and share on fb but within reason, and I don't feel comfortable about the children being online.

Belo · 29/08/2014 11:02

I'm "share-y wary". I don't think so. I'm not 'wary', just don't see the point in telling everybody everthing all the time.

JiminyCricket · 29/08/2014 11:13

Off the grid...and happy about it

Greatgoogleymoogleys · 29/08/2014 12:04

I am share savvy, which is about right. I'm all about everything in moderation but no gadgets during family time and gadget time inside house is earned by helping out.

DoubleMum · 29/08/2014 13:01

Sounds alright to me.

FPATEL · 29/08/2014 13:06

You are share-y wary

You find the whole world of social media a bit anxiety-inducing - and need help knowing where to dive in.

I am quite particular about who I share pics of my kids with
