AIBU to object to being told how I should think

that I should not be joyful or positive about dd and her disabilitie, that I should post doom and gloom, as if I don't I am only showing a biased veiw.
I don't seem to be allowed to post that my life is good, that I am happy and dd is a pleasure.

I have two beautiful sons, that i feel blessed to have. One of them happens to be disabled.

For me its no more deep than that.
i love them both equally, i treasure the time we spend together & i am so proud of their (very different) achievements.
I also tell them both off & punish them both.

I do know that ds2 has put me in touch with some very wonderful people & without ds2 I perhaps wouldn't value the important things in life.

As for people telling me what i should think, well f*ck the lot of them, they don't live my life!

ouryve · 19/09/2008 18:38

How can you be so cheerful about it, 2shoes? Your life is just terrible! I mean, my kids have just ruined my life with their autism. It's just so inconsiderate of them and they give me no joy at all. ;)

rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 18:39

sheesh. None of you are reading my posts. Its a total burden and I cant go to china. In fact, going to ask the doctor to do a scan and a test right now on dd.
I think she might be disabled.

anonandlikeit · 19/09/2008 18:58

Oh Shit Riven, it must be such a shock to you, is it that she isn't playing clarinet yet

BTW i've heard ChinaTOWN is just like the real thing, just no wall!

rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 18:59

is that one of the signs Anon? My life is ruined.

anonandlikeit · 19/09/2008 19:01

I believe so, surely all 4 yr olds must be playing at least one instrument!

rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 19:04

darn. well thats my life ruined then.
oh wait, we get a blue bagde. I'm so lucky. forgot that bit

anonandlikeit · 19/09/2008 19:08

Ahh but you know you can only use the blue badge without judgement & questioning looks when you are a pensioner.

and don't forget you get DLA - that makes it all fine & dandy don't you know.

2shoes · 19/09/2008 19:10

don't forget the wheelchair rivenwhosnameisnowverylong think of all the people you can run over with it.

OP posts:
rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 19:13

I was planning to be happy but apparently thats not possible with a wheelchair in the house.

rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 19:17

its talk like a pirate day. Do you people know nothing?
Its cos you're all miserable buggers cos you have disabled children.
I think I mentioned that 4567 times you know

2shoes · 19/09/2008 19:18

rivenwhohasasillynametoday please check my threads for the last 200000000 million days and you will see you are wrong and I am right.

OP posts:
anonandlikeit · 19/09/2008 19:19

Well shiver me timbers, we're all so bloody miserable i may have to walk the plank.

I hope you've not dressed dd up as a pirate, just in case she has fun

rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 19:21

2shoes. You are claiming I said things I didn't. And even if you cut and paste them to prove I did say them you are making everything up. Plus, just cos you experineced posting those 2 billion threads doesn't make you right. Thats your own experience and how dare you mention it. I heard of someone once who maybe thought something else. People confide in me you know.

rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 19:22

anon. dd is too disabled to be dressed like a pirate. She's down in the cellar of shame where she belongs.

anonandlikeit · 19/09/2008 19:24

Riven, how do you know its talk like a pirate day? What sort of strange pirate world do you live in?

rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 19:26

cos some mumsnetter told me. I am like a sheep you know

rivenhasaparrotonhershoulder · 19/09/2008 19:26

here

anonandlikeit · 19/09/2008 19:27

Pirates & sheep, i'm sure theres a joke in there somewhere

rivenmetimbers · 19/09/2008 19:28

made my name shorter on account of 2shoes who can't cope with long names
If there is a joke i'll not be the first to try it!

anonandlikeit · 19/09/2008 19:31

Oh i wish i'd known this morning, I had to give a presentation on criminal risk. It would of been sooooo much more interesting as Black Beard!

Just told mh & the 2 ds's about it, dh & ds1 are talking like pirates ds2 just looking at them as if they are mad. But he is the disabled one he's not allowed to laugh.

rivenmetimbers · 19/09/2008 19:33

push him off a plank.
I think you'r presentation would have been livened up with a few ooo aaarrr me hearties thrown in

BriocheDoree · 19/09/2008 19:35

Actually, I've not had a brilliant day (nothing to do with DD, honest, more to do with teething DS not sleeping enough and me being major grumpy bear as it's Friday, I'm knackered and DH is working tomorrow...) and I've just PMSL at you lot!!
Oooh aaargh shiver me timbers me hearties. Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.
