StanleyParents · 20/11/2025 10:12

Wow... so just got off the phone...
The DM agres with us! First look was not thorough enough and have now been awarded the HRM!!

She also increased the awarded until 2034!!

No more renewals for him, it will take him until he is 17! Such an amazing result for us

Shouldn’t be too long, what are you doing the change for? People have had a call from DM and a decision made within the hour so just depends X

I hope so its help my daughter so much . Fingers crossed you don't have to wait much longer and yours is a positive outcome ❤️ im not sure how it works the case manager phoned me Tuesday and said they have to speak to school but if they cant get through that day they have to send a letter so that could take 4 weeks so you wait all this time and it takes over don't it but it shouldn't take this long ❤️ its not fair really xx

No it isn’t when I first applied I gave the numbers and names of all my sons teachers and the sens teachers tht dealt with him but they never bothered to contact school so this time I got school to write reports regarding my sons extra needs and how he is day to day at school so I’m hoping that helps this time I really do think it’s a case of luck on who’s lap it lands on hopefully you get what you deserve and the wait is nearly over keep me updated please xx

Yeah exactly we do everything we can and send what we can for them to just shove it aside sometimes . When its actually everyone children that need the extra financial support as things they need or to help them day to day its them they are neglecting with it all at the moment im paying 230.00 every 2 weeks for taxis for my daughter to and from school even food because just for her a month im paying 1-200 as she don't eat what we eat and drink everything's just so much at the moment and as a parent fighting when really we shouldn't have to keep fighting and pushing and chasing it or declined . I really hope you get your outcome soon and its a positive one I'll keep you updated if you go before me will you keep me updated xxx

I’ve seen a few people on here that are doing a change for HRM say that the DM has sent their claim to a medical team so think it a adds a little bit of time on but surely won’t be weeks to do that but I could be wrong, normally only takes weeks if they are trying to get a hold of schools/doctors etc so🤞🏽you get a decision by the end of the month X

They have been saying that for a few months now, I’ve been calling every few weeks since July and I’ve been told there’s no time frame since then , it’s not done in exact date order so realistically April and early May will hopefully be done before Christmas. They seem to at least be on middle of April and people haven’t waited longer than 31 weeks and a few days so here’s hoping we don’t wait longer than that😬X

COC - Im the 15th April SD, still waiting. I know someone who was the 5th and received her decision one week ago and her date was the 5th, so I think they are in between those dates currently :)

Someone in here yesterday was I’m pretty sure 16/04 they called yesterday and decision was made and I’ve seen a few 28th/29th April awarded, have you called to see if it’s with a DM yet?X

I rung them about 2 weeks ago to make sure my evidence was received and she said nothing. I’ll ring now and see what they say :)

Yeah I would ring, you are over 31 weeks and I haven’t seen anyone go over 31 weeks and a few days. I rang Monday and they wouldn’t take my details to check for me and told me to wait and see but I’m going to call tomorrow and see if I get anywhere X

Quick question regarding renewals. My son currently receives HRC and no mobility. He is 4 (turns 5 in Feb) and his renewal due in early Jan. Is it possible they could award low mobility from his birthday in Feb as its so near or will I have to do a coc in Feb.
I hope this makes sense.
Also if they decide to award HRM would that be given from renewal date or backdated to scan date?

Thank you
