How soon after the call from the decision maker to ask a few extra questions did people receive their decision for a MR please?

Spoke to them on Wednesday, calling on Monday to hopefully get the decision!

I just can't believe it. Got the letter today. nNC was 5 weeks start to finish. Letter says we have it until day before child's 17th birthday. She's 12 at the moment. That's us sorted until 2030. Amazing 🎉

Congratulations, happy for you and your child. A 5 year award is really good! Can i ask what your scan date was please?

It was 8/10. I'm in disbelief. I don't understand why we would be given such a long award time (not going to complain though!)

Thats really good though. I do think its because your daughter is 12. Im sure ive seen someone say that they tend to award chilren over a certain age longer awards. But im not too sure how true that is! Haha anyways best of luck. Im so glad all the wait times and everything are over for you for the next 5 years. And im happy for you and your child that they got what they rightfully deserve 😃

Mandatory reconsideration 04/06 still waiting ❤️ if anyone is June would someone let me know if they've had a decision yet 🤣❤️
Daughter's just been diagnosed with add and autism today ❤️

We're waiting for our MR since 06.06.2025. The original claim was received by them 15.01.2025. it's ridiculous.

Hi everyone,
i called up DLA to ask about my sons renewal which is due to end next week. The man on the phone said a decision was made on 17/11 and a letter has been sent out but he can’t tell me what the decision is on the phone. Is that right?? Shall i call again and hope i get to speak to somebody else?

sent ours back about 4 weeks ago so i think ill have a wait still! it’s so frustrating when he has a permanent disability that will never improve only worsen yet every 3 years you have to jump through hoops!

Debz848 · 21/11/2025 13:54

Hi,
My daughters renewal has been successful, original end date 6/12,
She has again been awarded MRC, but has had LRM added , does the mobility part get backdated to when they received the renewal forms, or does it start from scratch on next payment date.?
Thank you.

unsure, just had our renewal where our offer had slightly increased. we received the money in the bank account before we even received our confirmation.
when we did our first claim again the money came before any notification of our award.

but that could have been just our case of course.

Yeah so I think I still have to wait to know the decision. A letter or text or payment in acc if approved
