Does anyone know how long it takes for dm once they have verified the change to dla?

When I did it September last year they said it can take 4 weeks for the dm to make choice and after the 4 weeks u can ask this to be escalated and it’s usually resolved shortly after that a lot of the time they try and fob u off with the “no time frames” but I do think the same rules are applying hopefully you have someone decent on ur journal my guy was pretty quick with responding hope this helps x

Hello anyone received a decision yet from a MR made after September this year? X

Hey I had a letter on my journal to say the decision maker has decided to basicly do the back pay for disabled child does anyone know what happens next many thanks

Hiya i did mine the 5th of December got a letter to download on my journal yesterday morning to say in special circumstances they have awarded the disabled child element now im in limbo to what happens next lol xxx

Hi, from previous experience 2 years ago i recieved a letter from UC about being allowed the backpay and a few days later the money was in my account. Hope this helps!

Im not sure, i know on UC the carers can only be claimed once by the same person even if you care for two children. But if your caring for one and your partner was caring for your other child he can claim carers too. xx

My won was verified the 8th, decision today to say special circumstances apply, but nothing else yet :-/ they dont have set time frames for anything :-/

Uc update worker been away from the office backdated child element approved should be in my account in the next couple of days

With COC is it just the whole form all over again? 😩

If you’ve randomly had a DLA payment into your account, when did you get any correspondence relating to it?
DC’s regular payment was received on the 16th as expected, but today I’ve had another payment.
His claim is due for renewal in 2 weeks, so all forms were returned a couple of months ago. Not heard anything since then though! Just this random payment.

My sister got her daughter’s renewal it’s only took 2 weeks but she changed over to HRC from MRC so maybe that’s happened and that’s why u have had extra payment maybe? Xx

Thanks for this. He’s already on HRC so thinking it must be mobility? I called yesterday and all they could say was a decision had been made and I would receive a letter. They wouldn’t tell me what he’d been awarded.
just find it so odd that money just lands in your account before any explanation! I mean, I’m not complaining, but I’m anxious to know if he’s still on HRC as this is essential for us being able to access other services - as we all know!
guess I’m waiting for a letter in the post then!

They wouldn’t tell me so I went through and pressed “other” in options and said I wanted to know what my child had been awarded (I didn’t even know she did just thought I’d try my luck) luckily she was and told me xx

Thank you SOOOOO much for this advice! I did the same and she told me he’s stayed on HRC and they’ve added LRM, so that’s what the random payment was.

Im beginning of july, but just seen someone awarded from the 16th of June on the other thread. So hopefully both of ours will be soon! X

mr scan date 20/08/25 so still got about 2 months left
