Ahh thats good I'm waiting for my sons letter now but backpay arrived today. I know how crazy post can get this time of year so I called to make sure I knew in case the letter entered the abyss until mid January 😅

it depends… you can count your weeks and try to work it out using the dla website? the weekly amounts are on there. but it depends if you were just trying to claim care or any mobility? so might be difficult

My brother got a text notification a few days ago that his from may has been sorted. So getting closer. Good luck.

Oh gosh, fingers crossed only a few more weeks then! The wait is killing me. If it’s declined I think that’s going to be even more of a kick in the teeth having waited so long :(

My brother put the original claim in December 2024, MR mid may 2025 and finally sorted end November 2025. My sons was super quick in comparison to his wait so I get the stress from watching him.

Just rang and it’s still not even with a decision maker. Can’t see myself hearing this side of Xmas. Thank you for your help x

Decision made on MR today but they won’t tell me over the phone 😭😭

What is your scan date? They don’t tell you but they can put you through to people who can. Good luck x

Oh no that’s a joke! I’ve done MR scan date 21/11 mines gonna be well into next year by the looks of it! My daughter NC was 25th sep scan date took exactly 4 weeks 1 day was so lucky. I know frustration of waiting tho I waited 5 months with my son last year x

Is anyone else waiting for NC that hasn't been scanned into the system yet I sent it recorded delivery and it arrived on the 17th November but it still hasn't been scanned into the system. Getting a bit worried it has been lost somewhere as it's been over two weeks now

Im still waiting on a new claim but it did take two weeks to scan mine onto the system. Mine was then scanned onto the system on 27/08. Id ring next week to chase up as mine was lost but i managed to send mine recorded delivery and they found mine.

they Received my daughters MR the 12th, I rang and wasn’t scanned onto the system turned out they attached it to someone else's claim 🤦🏽‍♀️. It’s now been sorted but I’m assuming that will delay her claim further xx

Can somebody please help. I’ve been claiming carers element on UC since may for my little boy. I started university in September (UC knew about this as I informed them straight away) anyway I’ve had a message in my journal today saying I can’t claim carers element as I’m a full time student? Everything is so conflicting! Although I study, I still care for my son for more than 35 hours a week!

This is very strange! I was a nursing student and still claimed carers.

Although my course was classed as full time we was only in uni 2 days a week. But placement was a long time, says online you cant! No one told me this x

Hi! My son’s DLA is due for renewal on the 8th Jan. I’ve already returned the renewal forms and evidence, but I now have some additional evidence that has become available. With the Christmas break coming up, do you think it’s worth sending the extra evidence? Just not sure whether anyone would see it at this point.

I would send it recorded delivery but make sure you put his reference on it and it should be scanned onto the system within a few days.

Thanks @Princessmom222 i’ve sent it tracked 24 so should get there tomorrow. I guess I’ve got nothing to lose by trying!
