I’m doing a COC for the smi criteria too, did you do a statement for the smi test referring it back to the evidence? I’m still waiting so I’m not sure if I’ve done enough yet but apparently it’s supposed to help.

No, I just filled out the form and sent evidence. I was half expecting a decline as my son is only 3 but iv been told he would qualify so im hoping we can get it though MR

So COC is going into May now?! I thought COC was behind MR’s? As MR is still only at end of March I believe

COC have been all over the place for a while, they started clearing the backlog from 20/3 scan date giving them decisions at 21 weeks even know there was Feb and beginning of March still waiting at the time. They still have 10-19 March waiting for coc and I’m waiting 8/4 but it seems all the other aprils have been done. It really is all over the place.

It really is something else. The system is crazy and no wonder the staff get so uptight because they probably don’t know anything!

Have a look at the smi test, I’ve answered each test with writing parts from the evidence I have sent in. Then when it goes to be looked at again they will have it all there to see why your child should get hrm.

So… has anybody had this before? I’ve just called to check they received the last lot of evidence sent it. Anyway she confirmed it was received on the 22nd August. Then she said have you got a minute to go through ID checks so I can register the claim for you today? What does that mean? I thought it’s registered on the date they scan it in?

You’re right every time I call they say they can’t give out information for coc so maybe they don’t know? Even new claims seem to be all over the place. I thought MR and COC used to get done around the same weeks? I look to this forum to know roughly when I will get a decision but there is no one left around my date to know anymore. I hope you hear something soon, COC don’t seem to go over 30 weeks is it the same with MR?

I don’t think so, I think it’s around 26-28 weeks currently which means I have another 3-5 weeks wait. I waited 18 weeks from a NC to get declined when the evidence I sent didn’t get looked at (stated on my decline letter they made the decision from the information on my claim form) and now 23 weeks into an MR currently.

the wait is exhausting, and after being let down without evidence being looked at the first time gives me no confidence in the MR either and already preparing myself for a fight at tribunal

They don’t seem to like COC going over 30 weeks so hopefully you hear something soon 🤞 it feels like that sometimes doesn’t it there’s no order to when people get a decision.

Coc scan day 9/4 still waiting on fb seen loads of different dates. Hopefully not much longer 🤞🏽

I’ll call on Friday if I don't receive a letter or payment in the bank by then, I honestly cant see it being done before end of October. Can’t believe your still waiting though but maybe that’s a good thing and they are looking through your evidence properly especially when you’ve sent lots X

I think they look at the claim in more detail with MR, my friend did a MR for her child and the dm called and went through evidence and things from the claim form before making the decision. Good luck with your decision hopefully this long wait will be worth it in the end 🤞

Yes it’s a coc but it seems all over the place. I’ve seen may done even one was done in July. Very confusing. When I call they say it’s done it date order but I haven’t seen this shown. Good luck hopefully not much longer. I called a few days ago they said it was in a que to be looked at by dm but how long that will be!

Sorry I think I miss read what you first put, is your scan date 9/4 for a coc? Or someone on Facebook?

Called today about MR 25/04 and was told it’s not been assigned yet and they can’t give me a wait time. Was previously told up to 25 weeks but today was told there’s no longer a wait time and they will contact me when a decision has been made. How frustrating.

I hope so I would sooner wait longer for them to take their time to read through all the evidence than them make the wrong decision from rushing it. It seem like we’ve all been on here forever hopefully it won’t be to much longer 🤞and we get good outcomes

coc 24/03 - still not assigned to anyone, told me was put in the wrong pile with renewals but in the correct pile now and said they are still working on Feb

Should be in your account by end of next week but you can call and ask them. Can I ask your scan date, I’m waiting for a decision on MR.

Foned this morning, was declined so will be taking the next step tribunal when letter arrives, my Mr scan date 14/3
